Chuuch!
Man, you saved me a post...well, with exception of the HD remake thingy. IMO, that has been the bane of this gen.
But OT, EoN still get spins in the ole PS3 Phatty to this day. That and Goldeneye N64 were perhaps the best Bond games ever released.
First I heard of that. When was that announced?
Same thing I was saying. Personally I don't see the justification of dropping an extra $100 just for aesthetics. But, I saw where it was mentioned that more will be revealed at PSEx this weekend. If...IF it is revealed that the system would be BC with prior gen PS games, I would not hesitate to lay down a preorder. Seems like a fitting way to commemorate the 20 year anniversary of PS to me.
Looks like one guy scanned his dog, lol.
Agreed. EA had a similar feature with the need for a camera as optional on a few of their titles last gen. Would be nice if 2K can implement the same.
Wow, Voofoo. Way to hustle (no pun intended) those who were anticipating a Hustle Kings release on PS4 into purchasing Pure Pool.
^^Perhaps the best summary I've read about this years E3 so far.
Outland was an amazing game. It's sad how little fanfare that game received. Criminally underrated.
"The Manifeste is a first and third person experience, currently in development for next-gen consoles and PC, targeted towards adult gamers looking for mature, story-driven experience, featuring inventive gameplay."
Interesting. Waiting to hear more details on this.
Agreed JQM. D-pad controls seem commonplace for side scrollers like this, and for good reason.
There have been numerous times where I'd let up off the analog stick only to have my character face the opposite direction. And considering I prefer playing the Hard difficulty, you have very little room for error.
"Gameplay will not be your standard Hollywood ‘save the world’ fare.” Sonedecker told us. “The world is not in imminent danger from a maniac tyrant with a biological weapon or nuke. Missions may mirror or be influenced by some real life issues and conflicts. There may be times when you are in a no win situation and must choose to take the “best of the worst” outcomes. Mission success may not be cut and dry either. It isn’t always calculated by killing everyone in a map.”
...
Well said, Fox. But I can assure you that those who have had a sudden change of heart upon seeing the positive impressions regarding the length, were likely gonna get the game anyway. It's saddening to see one of my favorite hobbies deteriorate right before our eyes due to sheer naivety.
"Sure, I can download the app and get extra VC, hundreds and thousands per day..."
Even the app is having issues. As of the recent update, logging in has been problematic.
Good to hear some semblance of life in this game.
Although it's true that console ports of the arcade were vastly inferior, you have to consider the fact that the technology was not as advanced, even during those times, as it is today. But despite that, it's hard to dismiss the convenience the console ports offered. SF2 was amazing on the SNES. Now I can agree that the overall arcade experience (notably the social aspect) will never be replicated like it was.
And by the way, I STILL own my SNES version of KI. Had KI ...
PS3 was the only console I gamed on last gen and fully agree with everything mentioned in the other comments - even paid online gaming since it's becoming a console standard. Fortunately for me, I also game on PC.
Dx, I agree but would add the popularity growth of FPS's, dumbing down of games (i.e. regenerative health), and overabundance of sequelitis.
It was much more than just online related issues. And sadly, I don't expect this gen to fare any better.
I always thought that Frank Thomas Big Hurt was as close that you could get to a simulation bb game during its day. Nice list, though. The Show IMO is a definite #1.
The most sensible post on this topic I've read today.
