If more people donate to Geo after he took their $$ and settled instead of fighting for .. anything, like he promised he would, then I wouldn't care so much if he hacked a console or two because I would be more focused on crying for humanity..
Well, Guitar Hero still has their small dedicated following, but the majority of the buyers for GH back in the day were casual players - which are notoriously fickle. Plus, they released so many games within a single year, they were their own biggest competition.
COD has a much larger, more core following.
I mean, Madden's still in production. So are all the other sports games. They have their core followers, even though it's released once a year. A...
That's good. Otherwise I would think the end is nigh.
I personally haven't played it, but I've heard since the servers started working properly, it's pretty fun with the multiplayer.
Maybe if they had ironed out the issues before releasing it, it would have done better.. But I wouldn't know if that's the only issue.
I don't think they realized that the majority of the gamers were not Team Geo, and that DDoS attacks on PSN would make everyone with a PS3 hate them.
They're usually on the "right" side. Against scientology, sided with wikileaks, etc. People can get behind stuff like that. It's more black and white. Sony, however, was just fighting for their right to defend their stuff. GeoHot wasn't innocent in this.
I still think Anon is full of ...
They cried about M$ and said some horrible things about them.
Now they're crying more about Kotaku.. and saying horrible things about them.
Yes, saying horrible things about more people is definitely going to help out. I kind of dislike these guys now.
This article is ridiculous, really.
This article is making it sound like Geo is some innocent child who is so wounded because Sony wanted to protect what's theirs. The settlement was very painless for Geo, in all honesty. Sony could have kept trying to go for his throat, but no. A slap on the wrist, with a promise of much worse if he tries anything on their products again.
I don't think bad things about M$ or Sony, in all honesty.
Kind of anti-climatic.
Yeah, it's weird. The West is way more split evenly, while Japan is very loyal to Sony it seems.
I would hope Move is outselling Kinect. Only like 5 people in Japan even have Xbox 360s.
This won't do anything..
Little Big Planet? Demon's Souls? MGS4?
I think those should all make the list before Heavenly Sword. When I think PS3, I think those, GoW, inFamous, Uncharted, and KZ. Heavenly Sword doesn't come immediately to mind.
From the 7 minutes of listening to the podcast I did, it seems to me that he's referring to racist trash talk. Not racism occurring in the actual video games.
So, what I would say to that, is that it's nothing to do with video games at all at that point. It's the internet, and web-anonymity. Perhaps video games add more hostility since they are competitive in nature, but still. This issue is not video game centric in any way.
OHEMGEE. I love Fancy Pants!! I didn't know this was even happening ! :D
It's fact that Sony has been all over AR for a while. I'm pretty excited for the NGP, and I'm hoping the AR games that comes with it will be worthwhile.
I think Cole Phelps fits him, and I don't think it's a huge deal that he has the same name as that infamous fella. The games are so different there will never, ever be a comparison.
and I dunno where you got your facts from, but check out this guy. And promptly suck it. Sure, he's from 1891 to 1964, but if there's one Cole alive in the 1940s, I bet there can be others.

Hahah yes..
Open your copy of Duke Nukem, and out falls COD.
I'd cry.
I hope you do realize that Duke Nukem is satire, he's not supposed to be seen as the best person ever. He's supposed to be a caricature of the old fashioned action hero, and super mantastic.
It might not be the game for you, but you shouldn't ask it to change it's core values and selling points just because you have a different sense of humor. Maybe just don't buy the game. Regarding the petition you mentioned, in all honesty, 7000 people is really such a ...
I read it. Relating anything to Farmville is an insult, though. Farmville is trash.
I don't think this will do anything in terms of the console, honestly. Why would someone buy a PS3 for Steam?
If there is anyone willing to do that, then they would have gotten a PC years ago and just used Steam on there. Not wait yearss and years for this nonsense..
Valve will always love the PC more anyways. I'm guessing the PS3 will get at most the support that Valve has done for Mac - which isn't saying all that much.
