You know, if COD Elite comes with the map packs, paying $10 for a year would save at least $20 for everyone that wants to buy the map pack since there's two map packs at $15 from recent trends.

Er, there's a comparable service to this - that actually charges? I mean, Bungie tracks every little statistic for free, and has lots of social options. How can they get cheaper than freee?
But, hey, if "all inclusive game content" includes the map packs and the premium nonsense is less than $30, it could be worth it for some people. Otherwise, I cry for anyone that picks this up.
I personally never had a problem with the old Lara. She's always been the strongest woman in gaming, even if she has wonderful boobies. The woman takes on tigers in every flippin' game. If I encountered a tiger outside of a zoo and they wanted to eat me, I would cry. But old Lara is a beast. While I agree this game would not work back in the NES graphics stage, it was never ever created back then, so that's completely irrelevant. But, I can literally go back and play Tomb Raider 3 (my favorite) to this day, and still love it. Even with it's "sub par graphics."

I agree with mostly everything in this article. Everything but Bayonetta being too sexist that no non-gamer female can understand. Why would you only be playing two games? That's a generalization. There are are a bunch of games that were exclusive and stayed exclusive.
Well, it certainly couldn't hurt M$. But, I'm not so sure how much they gained. Another article said 9% jumped ship to M$, but polls aren't all that trustworthy and who knows if they'll go back.
I don't think it was a drastic gain, but it probably was a little bit of a gain.
Some people's PS3s just YLOD. Because it happens after an update makes people cry wolf and blame it on that. But that's flawed logic. Coincidence does not mean causation. It hasn't happened to all PS3s soo, it's obviously not just the firmware. There must be other factors.
It's your call on whether or not you want to update, obviously. But, unless your PS3 is on its last legs already, I'm sure it'll be fine.
It's their decision whether they want to own a console or not, but they should pick their console choice wisely. Maybe stick with the PS2, XBOX or GameCube. Pick the most dependable system, with the most dependable games.
Or they take the risk, and have just as much chance as getting screwed as the rest of us, with a lot more of a hassle to fix it.
It's become the standard to be able to fix bugs through the patches. So no, they don't care. They only care about the majority, and the majority of gamers these days have an internet connection. If I lived in a place without internet, and I wanted to play video games, I'd probably stick to a PS2. Dependable, shizloads of games, and developers didn't have the ability to patch, so the top games actually perform well right out of the door.
I think a developer saying this about another developer's game which is doing well is just trashy. You end up sounding like a huge douche.
They say this with every update, and every little thing that goes wrong or differently. Something to blame their problems on.
I do not believe that their downfall was being multiplatform. I think their downfall was enslaved not being all that good. If it had been a great game that had gotten great reviews, it would have done better. Instead of being passable with story and character development and having horrible gameplay.
And now messing with Devil May Cry in unforgivable ways instead of making a new IP.
