Oh, that's awesome. I love how genuine horror games are making a comeback. I'll pick this up with amnesia once my PC stops hating me, and then I'll just have to sit patiently to see if Silent Hill: Downpour ends up being as good as it looks.

If they make the person send it in, then there's no way they'd give you a new system, since they would see the system was voided / modded.
But, if they detect it over live and don't ask you to send in your current system, then you'd be golden.
Probably. M$ hates all mods of any kind. Which is why everyone is aware there's a risk when you go into the 360 yourself to mod or repair. I mean, since M$ goes so far to ban people, I don't see them giving those same people a free Xbox 360..
Woops. I did not get the gist of the article. Fixing comment. But, this is not hardware, this is software. It's happening because of an update, and it's not all older 360s, so it's a software issue with that particular model.
I'll probably get disagrees, but am I the only one that doesn't notice any graphical difference between versions, like ever? Both the PS3 and 360 can handle beautiful things, and deliver them to me.
I'll install, since I install every game regardless just because I have way too large a hard drive for my cheap booty, so it makes me feel better. But, games really don't take long to install from my experience, and I've downloaded every game I've put into...

I think that's a dumb thing to do. Stuff like that should never be black or white. What if someone doesn't care so much about achievements at all? Or plays on PC, without Steam? I personally don't care at all about the M$ peeing contest, and only try to get all the achievements for a few games. As in, L4D and L4D2. & this summer I'm going to get all of Portal 2.

Umm, I think people are attacking Sony because it is their fault. While, no, they did not hand it out on a silver platter or anything, but their lack of encrypting everything and their lack of being proactive and plugging up the holes before something had happened - especially when they were undergoing layoffs and the hacker community hates them.

They have a marketplace currently.
In order to have all the games you buy on there downloaded and ready to play, the solution is : just don't buy that many. And go screw yourself. Otherwise, delete stuff you have now, download what you want to play atm, and then when you want to play what you had already downloaded before, you have to delete something else and re-download it.

Some people are just plain weird. Sony should have handled the situation better, for sure. But, this downtime right now is necessary. I wish that they had had this downtime BEFORE they got hacked and had fixed things then.
I think Sony was just blind to the situation and to exactly how many people hate them, like the hackers and the people they had to lay off. But the downtime is necessary for them to get to the bottom of it and to plug up all the holes.

It depends on whether they inject the fun back into the GTA series.
Saints Row won't ever sell as much, and it can't put a fortune into the graphics like R* can. But Saints Row realizes that, works with what it has, and decided to just be the most fun and ridiculous sandbox available. It delivers what R* used to deliver. Humor, ridiculousness, and not taking itself too seriously.
GTA IV's humor all came from the billboards / radio. It was gritty...
