I've actually seen the latter of the two happen to the 3DS in my GameStop.
"The blank screen error. The game fades to a blank black screen and locks up. Power button unresponsive." Exactly word for word what happened. It went back to normal in a little, but it has happened multiple times.
The system still works, but it's kind of ridiculous that is apparently an issue, and at least semi-widespread, and that this is the first media attention...

It's the very same situation on PSN. I have to add money to my wallet in $5 or $10 increments, I can't just buy it. Sure, it's all annoying, but it's not just a M$ problem.
It really isn't M$'s fault that they weren't on schedule to get into the Fall sale, and M$ also has no control over defective gall bladders... But, if M$ promised them more support, then it is crappy of them to not deliver. It depends on the game. It worked in Heavy Rain, but that's because you could still finish the game and complete the story even if a main character ended up dying. But, Heavy Rain, along with Indigo Prophecy, are unique like that.
Most video games you have your one main character, and if he dies, the story goes with him. Permanent death would not be appropriate, really.

I'm actually kind of excited. I saw some game play videos, and the combat looks tight, and running around Wonderland just sounds like it'll be fun, especially with the more sinister take on everything. Wonderland has always kind of creeped me out, honestly. Plus, it all looks very pretty.
I love PlatinumGames. Every game they have made has been genius, and I'm excited to see how Anarchy Reigns comes out.

Half of them really aren't, though. This one, yes, but a bunch of the others are just titles that are guaranteed to get hits. PS3 murders / Xbox 360 murders / Cyber-bullying / Sexting are all guaranteed to get hits because they're the new, overhyped and exaggerated fears of this generation.
