I like how CliffyB is so blunt about things. Once you admit there's a problem, then you can actually work to fix it.
I think Metro 2033 was actually genuinely good. The controls weren't the greatest, but hopefully they fix that up in their new Metro game coming out.
When you get an F in school or college, it generally means below a 50 or 45. I don't think stupid letter scales belong on metacritic, and I never really have.
I dunno, I really think that while that Rebner PR guy should have gotten fired by 2k, the guy made a good point. People are being way too harsh and, like he said, venomous based on the title of the game and the hype from 14 years of waiting.
If this game had a start button, and once you pressed it, ...
I doubt he was too pissed, he saw something was wrong, and made a joke about it. Now they can fix whatever issue came up before it comes out.
It really didn't look like the game really failed, more like he ran out of time to keep going, and the game looked beautiful, honestly.
I hope the new games are less Homefront-y and more Metro 2033-y, with better controls.
The 360 and PS3 are both all around entertainment systems.
It's kind of shocking that they're such cheapskates. No triggers and no ability to play even DVDs.. Why aren't they getting with the times and at least joining the current gen standards?
What douchers.
Like, legitimate scum. At least Anonymous pretended to have a cause ..
Kind of sad. I'll wait until it gets super cheap to pick this one up.
Hilariousssss.
I would argue that it's better than unintentionally hilarious, like some past console reveals have been...
But, I think Reggie is one of the most charismatic people that present at E3, and I always find it interesting to watch new technology.
That huge Reggie guy said that the system is 1080p, so .. that's at least something. But, I guess the issue here is that whether it can handle the engines of the games well enough.
But, I think it wasn't very wise to not be prepared enough going into E3 that they can't tell us anything except "Hey! Look at this controller. It's cooool. .. Also, fish."
Hell, with your argument we'd have nothing but buttons and dpads. No one needs anything else. We don't absolutely require HD, but it's better. In this industry, growth is important and encouraged and when things get better, they should stick around, and the industry should not move backwards.
I recall that we moved forward from only having buttons and evolved to using triggers as well because they're better than buttons for your front fingers. We moved on fro...
Why? - on the buying Wii U day one. Not on Pachter.
So, you played 5 years and you want other people to get hacked?
Hell, if it's the information-getting kind of hack, then you'd be screwed as well because Blizzard keeps all of it. If it's hacking individual players, then you're a douchebag for wishing that on anyone.
Not cool.
Well, sure, pal. I never said they need triggers for only FPS. However, I do recall a lot of other games that use the triggers that aren't FPS. Like, Assassin's Creed, for instance. Vanquish. Bayonetta. Red Dead Redemption. Grand Theft Auto. LA Noire. The list goes on, my friend.
So, if the Wii intends to play any real games elegantly, they should gimme analog sticks and triggers.
Well, if that's a legitimate question, then what if you've got a family of 8 and you want a PS3? Because, that's apparently legitimate, too, and not stupidly nitpicky. ...../s
There are so many other question he could have asked about the Wii U that show how little we know and how there's a lot of potential for failure, instead of coming off as a nitpicker. As in, what if you've got a family of two?
I personally think this is a silly question. What if you have a family of 8 on the PS3? Harharhar..
The real question is will they fix it so you can use at least two tablets? Because with only one player getting to do anything fun or special with the games, it will be a huge problem. This isn't the balance board where it's just an extra type of optional controller so it's almost forgivable you had to do one at a time. This tablet controller is the entire selling p...
If they intend the controller to be used for real games, they certainly do need triggers..
Oh, do a lot of people even play Brink? I've heard it's a mediocre TF2 ripoff..
Why do they care?
