What was the endless content in Yakuza? I'm just wondering, I haven't played that series.

Mode 7 ruled! I love Star Fox, I do the same thing every couple years. Super Ghosts n' Goblins is great too. The SNES years of gaming will probably be my fondest years of gaming, just pure joy (and some anger when it came to how hard Super G&G was.)

Exactly, I'm right there with you on this one.

Say it ain't so! That's some bad news :( I still believe in Rocksteady to bring us great gameplay, hopefully the story holds up.

The Superman Returns game had some surprisingly good mechanics and didn't nerf Superman's powers. I think the problem with it was it being rushed to market (not only was it EA, it was a licensed property for a terrible movie.) Still, there was a good game somewhere hidden in there.

It's definitely cool to see this, especially with all the programming knowledge people have today. I wonder how smooth they can get it running. I mean Genesis did have blast processing so it should be pretty smooth, amirite? ;)

Good point, the nighttime and puddle reflections definitely add to the atmosphere.

Switch to the 1080p settings, looks amazing.

This is what Watch_Dogs looked like before it got "down-graded". That lighting is awesome.

I'm loving my Xbox One, but I have to admit PS4 got it right with the unified memory and GDDR5 ram. The Xbox has the exclusives I want right now, PS4 will have the exclusives I want in a year or so. Time to save up!

What did they lie about? It was pretty clear it was going to be an all online system, until they changed that. In fact they told us right away about all the bad things about always online, 24 hour checks, not trading games back, etc...

Kojima could pull it off, as long as he didn't go overboard with the custscenes. Of course a reboot really isn't needed, just make an all new one. The town is the important part anyway, I don't want another retelling of Harry Mason.

I think this is the best response I've seen to all this console war drama.

"Settings can be assessed by simply hitting the start button from anywhere in the Dash, from the app list, from the pins (if you put it there), or by saying "Xbox go to settings"."

I love all the ways to interact with the menu. Controller, voice, hand gestures, and now the media remote. More options are always good to have.

I'm a huge fan of the UI. It's one of the many reasons I went with XB1 first (notice I said first, I'll eventually get PS4 when I save up enough.) The tile system is easy to understand and being able to PIN anything is awesome.

Also people should know (it's also stated in the XB1 tutorial vid when you first turn on the system) the 4 tiles below the preview window are the last 4 apps or games you opened. The 5th tile (located in the bottom right) is what's ...

Just checked out the 20 minute gameplay. The clothing textures are incredible! What an absolutely gorgeous game.

If you want to find out where the future of consoles are headed look at the PC. Looking back at the past, you can see it's always been that way. We're headed to a digital future like it or not.

In fact, we're pretty much there. I couldn't even play Thief on XB1 last night because I wasn't signed in. I couldn't sign in, because XB Live was down. Yep, single-player thief is an online only game... ugh.

These are the type articles that make the front page these days, unfortunately. I used Twitch on XB1 for a few hours last night. Fun stuff!

I really enjoyed Mafia II, but to do so I avoided messing around in the open world (which is rather boring) and stuck to the story. A good 10 hour game if you do that. The shooting mechanics felt perfect to me too.

That shareholders part at the end - That's why companies release games when they aren't ready *cough*EA*cough* Gotta make those shareholders happy, don't want stocks to drop!

By the time this game actually comes out will it really look next-gen or will other games have caught up? Also, is there a target release date for this?
