You know what? I own an Xbox One, and I'm okay with this. In fact, I'm done reading these resolution articles. Time to go enjoy my games! :)
Even if they do re-release GTA V on the new systems (like the rumors would have you believe), I'm not going to purchase it. There were some good moments in GTA V, but I couldn't stand the characters! So far in Watch Dogs, I really like all the characters, even though Aiden has the most ridiculous gravelly voice.
Also everything is just more convenient to do in Watch Dogs. In GTA games I feel like I'm fighting against the game to do the most mundane things.
I'm right there with you. Great game. Did it meet expectations? Probably not. Do any games meet expectations? Probably not. But what it is, is a lot of fun.
Bring it on! The game is looking great. I'm a huge Alan Wake fan, and I'm sure I'll soon be a huge Quantum Break fan.
I actually like the driving, but it is VERY arcade-like both with the steering and physics. Also, vehicles you drive seem to take a ton of damage before they become undriveable.
This bugs me too. Unfortunately, Ubisoft didn't seem to focus on those tiny details that makes these types of games outstanding.
To me, it's the little details that make the GTA series gorgeous and really help to create a believable world.
I'm still having fun with the game, but I'm not really invested in the world as much as Ubisoft probably wants me to be.
I'd be happy if it's "Gears of London"! Gears of War is a great game, I don't know why there's such a backlash to it these days.
I was just about to say the same thing. October alone has a crazy amount of games coming. It's going to be a good fall/winter!
I will always take 60 FPS over 30, even if they have to dumb down the graphics slightly. I just love the smoothness of 60 FPS. And, yes, I'm one of those crazy guys that preferred The Hobbit in 48 FPS!
I think the service, as it is now, will fail. I just don't think there's enough interest in "renting" old games. Now when you can start streaming new games, that could change things.
I also think Sony is preparing this service for their future consoles anyway, and this generation will just be testing the waters.
That's a 60 dollar decision! I can't afford to buy bad games, so I rely on other people's opinions.
Oh, and I pre-ordered to make sure I get the pre-order DLC. Just in case it is good, I didn't want to miss out.
I decided to pre-order this game, but I'll be waiting til day 2 to pick it up. GameStop holds the game for 48 hours. If it gets bad reviews on launch day, I won't be picking it up, simple as that.
I like it, has a 90's gaming era vibe to it.
Too bad about the story. I really want to know if it ends on a cliffhanger to set up future games in the franchise? I get that they're going to make sequels, but if they can't finish a story arc in one game then that's a dealbreaker for me.
I love this podcast, they got some varied opinions, but it's always enjoyable to watch. Plus I'm a fan of the bets they make.
The gifs do look great. First I was hyped for the game, then the delay killed my hype, now these leaks are bringing the hype back!
Huh? There's got to be more to this story. Strange move.
This happened to me awhile back, but they put out an update that fixed this. So far since the update I haven't had the issue, but who knows how long it'll last?
I still get sign-in errors every couple weeks that forces me to hard reset the system. It sure would be nice if I didn't have to power cycle the system every so often.
I wonder if they're going to make "Xbox, Game On" a command soon. That is the name of their E3 Press Conference. Maybe the command could make it so it signs you in and goes straight to the last game you were playing. Just a thought.
My guess is they were waiting to see the response to the theater announcement. They better show it now! It'll look great on the bigscreen!
