I'm not a fan of bullet sponge multiplayer. But that doesn't mean there isn't a place for it in the gaming world.
I'll just take my rainbow six-style, 1-2 shots takes you out, multiplayer. It's always more fun for me.
I will buy Infinity if DW is in the game. Yes, i'm that big of a fan.
Now this is some cool news. Green Arrow could fit perfectly in the Arkham universe.
The gameplay I've seen did not inspire much hope of Sonic Boom being a good game, but I believe the TV show has a good chance of being a hit. It has an adventurous vibe and I like the voices.
I think a story adds to the fun, as long as it isn't poorly written. It gives a little extra incentive to race, even if it's mostly superficial. MotorStorm Apocalypse had a really fun story proving it can be done right.
I never got into the MC series, but it always looked intriguing. If Rockstar were to release one on PS4/XB1 I'd definitely check it out.
I think they look just fine. Knuckles new design works for me. Better than seeing him look pretty much like a red sonic, plus you know he's the muscle when you see him. The athletic tape is the only part that I find to be a bit stupid.
I think the God of War type of action game is on its way out. The gameplay, while it feels great, is very dated. There's only so much hacking and slashing combos that one can do. I love the series for its story, but by the 3rd game its gameplay had worn out on me.
Games like the Arkham series has shown you can do so much more in the action genre, and even Rocksteady knew this by adding the Batmobile to Arkham Knight, they keep moving forward. I'm trying to figure out ...
I'm excited for all the press conferences, but I really think it's Microsoft's to lose. They have a lot of momentum now with Phil Spencer taking charge. The only thing that has me worried is holding Quantum Break back for Gamescom, that game looks awesome and it would get much more publicity with the general public at E3.
Anyway, with a press conference titled "GAME ON", they better bring the games! Can't wait!
To me, it doesn't matter if the main character's a brown-haired white guy, I just want the main "hero" to have some personality. Look at Nathan Drake and Agent Francis "York" Morgan, two white guys with dark hair but they're tremendously well-written and that makes me want to play as them, as well as see them actually live to save the day.
The drab character of Aiden Pearce (and I get he's sad because of his niece dying and all) lacks any s...
I really do think we'll see something, if even just a trailer.
This game has some major potential. Can't wait to see and hear more!
I wondered how the songsneak app worked. I didn't know if I missed it in the tutorial, or they just didn't explain it well. I'll be grabbing some songs tonight!
Hmm... Besides resolution, I don't see much of a difference.
:D
I think the devs will put some shine on the game, but I theorize Batman got pushed back at the publisher's request. WB Interactive already had a game scheduled to launch in October (Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor) and they wouldn't want to cannibalize sales of that.
It was a smart move, because I may be buying Shadows of Mordor now!
October is going to be an insane month for games. I knew Batman would get moved though, after seeing WB Interactive's own Shadow of Mordor game launching in the same month. WB ain't that crazy!
Anyway, all the games coming on October 7th look to be pretty great. I can only get one though, not sure what it will be!
The graphical downgrade was bad, but it's not like they hid it before the game came out. So it was expected. However, I really enjoy the gameplay and there are moments where the graphics really shine, especially the animations.
My guess is we'll see a port of Red Dead Redemption on PS4 and XB1 before we see GTA V. There's just been too many Red Dead rumors lately! That's just my theory though.
Great article! At what point is there diminishing returns on adding extranaeous activities to a game? To me, adding skill trees to mini-games is probably a place where the developers should say, "you know what? I think this is taking it a little too far."
Of course, having more depth is usually never a bad thing. After all, the WD mini-games are optional. But then I'd wonder what the developers could have added if they hadn't been working on skill trees for...
Yeah, you can see a real difference with games developed exclusively for the new-gen consoles.
Can't wait til the old-gen is left behind so we can see what devs do with the extra power, besides making games look pretty. Already exclusive games utilize online in cool ways, just check out forza 5.
