I wish MS could have dropped the price without removing the Kinect, but I'm sure that would have hit them too hard financially.
Anyway, if I see one more article with the pun "DIS-KINECTED" I think I'm going to lose my mind!
I liked the 1st season for the most part, but it was so depressing I don't even want to play season 2. This GOTY edition would be good if you missed out the first time, but it is some bleak stuff.
VR is just not viable as a mainstream consumer product. Sony's going to lose big on this. I have a hard enough time convincing people that come to my house to put on glasses to watch a 3D movie. Mainstream consumers aren't going to spend upwards of 200 dollars (and that's a low-end guess) on a headset for playing games.

It looks interesting. I don't know if the games will look good on this, but I'd be interested in just watching movies on this VR headset, if what they say is true about it looking like IMAX.
Also the windows letting you look down for safety reasons is actually a pretty great idea.
I'm not a Kickstarter fan though, I prefer to see the end product before deciding on a purchase.
Bring on E3! Glad this got announced early so games can be the focus of MS's press conference. It's going to be a great E3 and the competition is just heating up!
The problem with shortcut-style microtransactions is that there's the risk of the game being designed to purposefully slow player progression down so they'll be annoyed just enough to spend some extra money. I'm not saying DriveClub does that, I'm just saying it's a slippery slope.
I wonder if they'll even offer the Kinect in other countries now? Since the big delay for them launching worldwide was getting Kinect to understand the different languages and dialects.
Still, I wish they'd have gone with the price dropping to 400 but still keeping Kinect. I know it doesn't make as good of financial sense, but now the audience that owns Kinect is going to be divided. This means devs have absolutely no incentive to add Kinect features now.

YES! They did it, they released the trailer early due to a leak, thank you whomever leaked that gameplay (GameInformer) Now we get a proper look at the game, and it's incredible!
If this is true then E3 is going to be amazing. That's a big IF though, like most things in life - if it's too good to be true it probably is. Buuuut what a great list of games and announcements it is.
It's the Battletoads and Perfect Dark announcements that have me really questioning the validity of this list. I just think they're done with those franchises, but I hope the rumor is true!

Retail stores have limited shelf space so the stores make sure to pick the best products to line the shelves. I'm still trying to find a reason to get excited about this game. Unfortunately this trailer wasn't it. I think the delay really took the wind out of its sails, for me at least. Maybe I'll pick the game up one day when it hits the bargain bin.
I think GI's vid got released by accident. Still at this point Insomniac should just cut a quick trailer in HD for everyone. The game looks great, they should be proud!
I'm extremely impressed with this. Of course my expectations were set very low, but now I'm excited for the game. Great looking gameplay in a colorful world. Hope the campaign lasts awhile.
I'm actually for the parity clause though there should have been an exception for the first year of the console's life.

Agreed. Since their biggest competition (Sony) started charging for their multiplayer, MS won't make Gold free, especially now.
If Sony halves their price or does something drastic, then I think MS will step up like they did with Games with Gold. Sure Games with Gold doesn't have as great or as recent of games as PS+, but MS wouldn't be giving out games unless Sony started the trend. Competition is good!
I still don't get why they can't add "Xbox Off" as a command? It's weird to have to say "Xbox On", but then say "Xbox Turn Off" to turn it off.
