If it hits XB1, I'll be buying for sure. Even if it doesn't, when I eventually get a PS4 I'll be buying then anyway!
Let me guess, browser-based and free to play? I gotta quit being so negative :|
Strider is awesome, I'm not sure why it got such mixed reviews.
So many good games!
My current faves:
-Dead rising 3
-NBA 2K14
-Ryse
-Zoo Tycoon
-Thief
-Killer Instinct
A few of these games are really underrated, no one talks about Zoo Tycoon, but it's a great game and fun for the whole family.
Can you imagine this game was once priced at 40 dollars? haha Glad they wised up. Now let's get it to 20 on next-gen, heck, why stop there!? Let's get it down to 5, then I'll buy!
You mean making a good game within your budget allows you to succeed!? SHOCK! :)
Yeah it's a prologue, so it's part of the overall game. Of course people could say the same thing for Halo 2 with the way that one ended.
Still 30 bucks is a high price for a prologue. Case Zero being 5 bucks was easier to take a chance on, I don't think i'll be taking a 30 dollar chance on this MGS game.
Dangit Yoshida! Why'd you have to go and ruin my trolling rant! Now I have to do a DaleCooper180!
But Yoshida said it wouldn't be done! You can't just flip a switch to turn off a light...
By the way I'm joking. This is a good thing!
PS180! #ohsnap Now I'll watch the disagrees roll in :P
True, unless MS pays for their game to be exclusive there's no point in making the game exclusive to XB1. Still with millions of XB1's out there, there's no point in making an indie game exclusive to PS4 either.
20 hour games are perfect for me, if I get 20 hours out of a game I feel like it was money well spent. If I find out a game doesn't last that long, even a well reviewed one, I'll wait for a price drop.
Makes sense about the SDK, hope that happens.
I still don't think it will succeed, there's so many people who complain about having to wear glasses for 3D movies in their home, how will they feel about this?
I approve of this. Wal-mart has a lot of influence and this may keep console makers from using ridiculous DRM tactics against used games now that the biggest retailer in the US is selling and buying used.
I hear Oculus Rift is amazing, but it's going to be a niche crowd that picks up these VR headsets. Which means there won't be a lot of games created for it, which means it will fail. And history repeats itself...
Was Arkham Origins that bad? After all this talk of the new game, I want to go back and play that game as it's the only one in the series I haven't played.
I'm sure the game plays just fine and is fun and exciting, but time vs. cost is an issue. Cheaper to buy a bluray i can watch for 2 hours than this game (I have the XB1, so it'd be 30 bucks.) Also, my guess is this game ends on a cliffhanger, since it is setting up Phantom Pain. I hate cliffhangers in games (Halo 2 anyone?) It's not a buy until it comes packaged with Phantom Pain.
Completely agreed about Uncharted's characters. Elena was awesome too, way better than the damsel in distress you most often see in games. Definitely elevated the plots of all those games.
There are some good game stories out there, but it seems to be the exception. My fav. game stories of recent years:
Uncharted and Uncharted 2
Batman Arkham Asylum and City
Deadly Premonition
Alan Wake
Bioshock
Dead Rising Series, yes all of them. They're cohesive and each game has a satisfactory ending! No lame cliffhangers (gaming's biggest story sin!)
My biggest disappointment most recently was Thief, it rea...
Okay, now you have my attention! That would be a great idea. Hope they go with it.
