This is probably the best article I've seen about AC Unity. I love the game, but, man, there are times that I hate it. And for the exact reasons this article lists. Thanks for posting it!
"You're only as good as your last game."
That's why Ubisoft is putting out Far Cry 4 only a week later. Hoping people forget about AC Unity lol
They both run terribly, but I can't stop playing! Underneath the awful framerate and LOD pop-in is a great AC game.
LOL Yeah, why make it a complete mystery about what the Yeti looks like in the trailer if you're just going to show him right there on the cover at the end?
LOL
Anyone know if this will have a city-like hub to roam around in like Marvel Super Heroes? That was more fun than the actual story missions.
Of course it was. It was a way to ease customers into paying for their online service which they had planned all along for PS4. Sony's a business not your friend, be thankful you get any games with this service.
With Xbox having some great exclusives this holiday, Sony needed to counter with something. I guess it's cheaper to put on an event showcasing games coming out next year, then actually putting out great exclusives this year. Honestly, it's a genius move.
I'm okay with this. Let people have a day off!
I came away from the alpha even less excited than before. I know it's an alpha, but it feels like they held too much back. But I'm not sure if I care enough to play more.
Even though it's got a viking theme, it really feels like ghosts n' goblins. The jumping is similar to that, though you can change directions in midair using the double jump. I'm loving the game and unlike g&g it at least gives you infinite lives! Otherwise I'd stand no chance.
I must have this. Take my money!!
That's the problem too. There's no spokesman for the Gamergate side of things, so the general public will only see Anita's interview with Colbert in which she grossly distorts what Gamergate is.
It's refreshing to see someone NOT state that these games are free! Like you said, they are part of a PAID service.
People have the right to complain if they aren't getting the value they feel is right for the service.
They also have the right to drop the service, though now that it's tied to multiplayer, Sony has us right where they want us -- hence, the drop in quality games that come with the service.
Ah, thanks GTXZME. I'll check it out.
I don't mind the satire articles as long as they state it or they get their own category. This one made me laugh actually.
"Recently Microsoft claimed that a naked human eye cannot detect any deference between a 720p and 1080p image."
What's the source for this claim? Just wondering, since, you know, journalism standards and all...
I do like the article for the images though. The difference, visually, wasn't as big as I thought it would be.
60 fps is what i'd choose. Not sure how technically feasible having this option would be, but I'd like to see more 60 fps games. I'll take that over a higher resolution any day.
This is weird, it might mark the first time Sony listened to customer feedback... I don't know if I like this feeling.
Oh wait, reading between the lines, they're really just blaming customers for updates taking so long. Now that's the Sony I know.
I'm loving AC Unity (despite its flaws) but as soon as Rogue gets an "HD" version on XB1/PS4, I'll be buying that. Black Flag is still my favorite in the series.
And, yes, an HD version is gonna happen because: Ubisoft.
