As an xbox/pc player, even I dont see a need for Sony to implement crossplay. With the size of their user base its unnecessary. Would I have been upset that my 3rd party account got locked to the PS, sure. However, it's a f2p game so it doesn't cost anything to have multiple accounts.

MakoD That's the point. How much of a difference did it make? Statisticly none. I even own a post ban ak-47 with a thumbhole stock. Canada is the best example I can think of when it comes to weapon bans. Anything that looks like an ar or ak is restricted but anything functionaly equivalent is not (tavor). The culture of America isn't respect, it's anyone with a different opinion is wrong and stupid.

If this is a major issue then so is Redbox and other rentals. It's the same argument that the industry has been using against used games for decades.
It will take 5 years for Nintendo to produce as many Switch's as PS has already sold PS4s so no it will not happen. Consoles sold isn't truly that relevant anyways, attach rate is where true success comes from and it's what brings third party support. That will be the deciding factor on wether or not Nintendo can set themselves up for next gen.

Now people who bought xboxs for the sole reason of playing a few games with friends can trade it for a PS4 and still play with them.
