For all of you having your little fits and rants about how it doesn't matter: If it doesn't matter then why are you so upset? It's not taking anything away from your experience. This was literally about DICE replying to a tweet asking if the character is NB. Up until then they had been very low key, and the only reason it came up was because in the original tweet they referred to Sundance with they/them pronouns.
First up, "Witcher Syndrome" sounds ridiculous, and you can hardly blame Witcher for other games using similar systems. Stop trying so hard to make it a thing.
As for alternative systems, probably an unpopular opinion (maybe? I don't know), but I kinda like Destiny 2's system where you can reinforce your old weapons and armor with new ones. Say you have a hand cannon with specific stats, appearance and a particular perk you really like. Once you get a new ...
From the thumbnail I thought it was Dragon Age...
On his comment about elves and dark elves: If I remember correctly, Mimir at some point explains that both types of elves are actually from Alfheim, two sides of same coin etc, and Svartalfheim is actually only called that because Odin thought dwarves were dark elves. Still isn't based on actual mythology (as far as I know) but still a pretty important detail.
In my head-cannon it's just because everyone else in that world are ancient, and he's literally just a kid so it made sense that he would speak more immaturely.
I didn't even consider it before, but I would gladly welcome an Elder Scrolls competitor. Bethesda hasn't exactly impressed with their re-releases of Skyrim, so I don't really have high hopes for ES6 either. They could do what Outer Worlds was to Fallout.
Exactly, and not to mention said company is Square Enix
The game can still be challenging just because it's on easy, doesn't even have to be called easy let's say Casual mode or something. I remember having trouble with a bunch of challenges/bosses in God of War even though I wasn't playing on the highest difficulties. The problem is that not everyone has the time or "natural skills" to play most From's games as they are. An easier setting would allow more people to play and enjoy the game. There are people who would ...
I don't get this weird gatekeeping mentality with these games. Who cares if some people choose to play it on easy, it doesn't take away from those playing it on hard. If you want your "proof" for having done it on hard, then lock certain trophies behind difficulty settings...
Well yes but no, the PS4 version will get a free update, true, but the PS5 version will still cost you, just a little bit less if you already have the PS4 remaster.
I think people have just gotten "spoiled" by the fact that so many others have offered free upgrades, but what they fail to see is that Sucker Punch actually put a lot more work into their PS5 version.
Compare it to Jedi: Fallen order, there's barely any difference from the PS4 version, they didn't even take advantage of the adaptive triggers (would have made force powers 1000x more satisfying). Fallen Order doesn't even have any faster loading times,...
"FF7 is a piece of art (as many AAA games) i generally consider games art) ..if we start changing paintings, statues or other art creation to match your todays "free" political views ......then goodbye world ....welcome chaos"
That's the beauty with games. They're malleable, they can change, grow and adapt. If an old game that had offensive content in the past (like something that nobody spoke up about in the past), then a remake can be change th...
There's literally no way of making FF7 without making it political though. And that goes for several other games and franchises. They're created reflecting real life issues and politics, whether you notice it or not. And if you haven't noticed, most games with political plots still make an effort to aim for a "happy ending". So when you say you wanna get away from real world issues, don't you think it's more reassuring to see similar problems to the real world be...
Hopefully free to play, I doubt there'll be that many people interested enough to pay for it at this point anymore :/
Just because some developers have offered their upgrades for free doesn't mean that's the standard, stop assuming you should get everything for free. We already got the multiplayer DLC for free and the PS4 version already looks amazing on PS5, you've been given plenty already. Paying 30€ for an upgrade + a dlc is not that bad.
Here, let me save you the click: "Yes, Phantasy Star Online 2 does support cross-platform play between Xbox One and PC"
Based on most reviews out there, a delay would not have changed much. The most common critiques have been about the repetitive missions/quests and combat, and a weak story with choices that don't really have an impact. A delay would help sorting out bugs, polishing visuals etc. but in this case that wouldn't help.
If this person really spent a bit longer thinking about what they're writing about, they'd maybe realize that the point of revenge stories is hardly ever about glorifying revenge. In most revenge stories the ultimate lesson is that revenge is not worth it, and more than often it ends up as a story of redemption.
But no, this person wanted to write something clickbaity...
This is a ridiculous line of thought and one that only favours the companies. Developers need to move away from the whole exclusivity idea, not change former multi-platform franchises into exclusives. And gamers need to stop encouraging exclusives, and realize that more people being able to play the same game doesn't take away from your experience.
The only way I can imagine exclusivity being justified, is if it's developed specifically to utilize a certain platfor...
It's not like that's any better though. What exactly suggests that it's BS? If anything, recent studies have shown that we really don't know a whole lot on how gender and sex works. That includes the fact that a binary system is simply not enough to define gender. Saying things like "the whole non-binary thing is total BS" without really understanding it sounds an awful lot like things people used to think and say about queer people decades ago...
