It's a DLC, ofc it's not full price. And yet, the content they add doesn't come even close to being worth 30$
It's a cash grab, and a really fucking dirty move by SE. Also, you can't keep comparing to Final Mix, those are from a time when DLC wasn't a thing, they are obsolete. The only way to bring new content back then was to release a new edition of the game.
But since you like comparisons, let's compare to Witcher 3 eh?
KH3...
And Square Enix wants us to pay 30$ for that? :'D
Too bad the main game was too boring for me to even finish, so I had no interest in buyng the dlc where apparently all the good stuff was...
Man you're thick, Re:Mind is not a full game...
Don't forget FFXIV expansions, which are the same price as Re:Mind, but are basically full length games
Yeah no, this is not a Final Mix, it's a DLC, and the pricetag should reflect the content, in this case 15-20$
It's really amazing how they can mess up like this, and at the same time do things so right with FFXIV. They release expansions with the same pricetag as KH3 dlc, yet the expansions are like full length games in themselves, there are additional "episodes" in the expansions, but they're included in the price.
@wwintwerj That's no excuse, we're not talking about a final mix now, it's not a full game, this is a DLC, and the price should reflect the content. From what we've seen, the DLC is not worth 30-40$
I mean it barely counts as being an assassin game these days. In early AC games, if you were facing more than 3 enemies head on you were dead meat. You had to actually sneak around and be tactical with your approach. In newer games you can just run into a camp with 20 soldiers and take them down like they're nothing. And as much as I love fantasy rpg's, flashy elemental weapons and mythological monsters should not be a part of AC. Fantasy/mythology aspects have always had a role in AC...
True, maybe I'm just bitter because it used to be a fun stealth game that actually rewarded you for being creative with your approach and tried to be historically accurate. Now they're trying to be a fantasy rpg, filled with MT:s, where you can casually jump in the middle of a mob and take down your enemies like any generic hack-and-slash. Story-wise they haven't done anything interesting since Black Flag. But maybe that's just me...
Let Assassin's Creed die, kill it if you have to
Me in 2000 would never have believed there would be a day when there are more games than I'd have time to play :'D
Sad but true, especially since the 4 we have seem pretty boring. Zane has some witty lines, but other than that neither gameplay or characters have me hooked :/
If by strong impression you mean gold meme material, then sure
the only lackluster performer here is you as a Star Wars fan.
While I was definitely speaking of my personal opinion, I would also argue that objectively speaking Outer Worlds is at most good game, not great. Meaning the overall grade should be somewhere around 7/10.
My main point was that most reviews seem to be largely influenced by Obsidians reputation, rather than the game itself. Several players have been pointing out it's flaws such as classic glitches/bugs seen in recent Bethesda games, lack of grenades, repetitive fetch-quests, emp...
Agreed mostly, I still feel like Outer Worlds was more enjoyable than FO4, but the rest of your remarks are spot on, especially the grenades... There were so many moments in my playtrough where my first instinct was to throw a grenade and then I'd remember I can't. It's not something I got used to either, it just felt like it should have been there. Can you have phantom pain for grenades?
It's a decent game (and I'm having some fun with it), but it is definitely not as good as all these reviews and the hype make it out to be. It's riding on the popularity of New Vegas and the fact that it's better than FO4 & FO76 (not a very high bar now is it?). It's not a bad game, but people seem to turn a blind eye to the fact that the game has plenty of bugs, repetitive af fetch-quests and an average at best plot. Again, I'm not saying it's a bad game, it...
I don't miss dismemberment as such (admittedly it would be cool and accurate), but I would have loved to see the lightsaber react a bit more with the enviroment. Like we've seen him run trough high grass, but the lightsaber just runs trough it harmlessly? I seem to recall that even in TFU the lightsaber would react if it touched objects outside combat.
Why waste time talking shit about Anthem? Seriously, we all know it was a letdown by now, let the ones who keep playing it have their fun.
