If the delay is to make the release better on PC, then that's fine. Better to be delayed and optimized than to release and be a framerate-rocky mess like GTA IV was on PC.

Until then, modders can keep releasing awesome mods each week that manage to get everyone on N4G excited.

Can't speak for Gionight, but a lot of modders have made their own games or game engines.

You do know that iCEnhancer is working on the Brigade Engine and that it is the only game engine to achieve 1:1 ray-tracing realism with playable framerates?

These guys are probably a ton more talented than most people working at Bethesda, no joke.

Just because you graduate with a degree in computer science doesn't make you good in your professi...

They'll last as long as idiot gaming media keeps pushing their content into the faces of gamers who don't have the will power to resist all the wallet-ravaging DLC schemes.

Hopefully major gaming media and AAA publishers will go the way of dinosaurs soon and together...it will be a befitting end to two destructive forces currently ruining the gaming industry.

Seriously? That's such a fail comment.

Free modding has been taking place on PC for ages and you're willing to pay publishers money for someone else's work that's usually handed out for free?

Oh wait, you guys do that already with COD map packs. Nevermind, carry on.

THANK YOU. Thank you. Thank you.

Finally, an article from a gaming website that isn't brown nosing EA like they just paid the ad revenue for the month.

You don't have to be a textual prostitute to keep your gaming websites going, guys. Digitallydownload.net at least gets it.

Gamers don't hate on AAA gamers because "it's cool", many hate on them because they're attached to some really stupid practices. But you can always count on gaming media not to take that into consideration.

I was at one point baffled at all the pro-corporate shill articles from websites TELLING gamers what they should and should not hate and who they should and should not hate.

At this junction, I've come to terms of accepting that g...

Don't look at it as "spending a few hundred dollars on kickstarter instead of buying new games" look at it as investing money into the history of your hobby.

The money you invested into these games will forever be chronicled by their existence and YOU were a part of that. For better of for worse you have attributed a part of yourself to the legacy of software entertainment for ages to come.

I think by all accounts, this is a success because with...

That requires a lot of scripting and very, very, very savvy programmers.

It might seem as simple as tossing in a bunch of {if {else}} statements but if it looked like GTA IV and had that kind of feature it would be tough getting that to work on today's consoles.

It's totally possible to have a game sacrifice graphics on next-gen consoles and do exactly what you're talking about. That kind of feature set would require a ton of memory and very fast...

Sorry to say but your article is a pathetic joke.

You wrote it? Shame on you.

You first need to get educated on how public relations work with these companies. Privately contacting a company DOES NOT WORK. Do you know why? They don't care.

You live in a fantasy world where you don't understand how these businesses operate: they only care about money.

You have to whine and shout and make enough noise so that the casual...

WTF is up with all these pro-corporate apologists? Where the **** were all these sites to inform people about the anti-consumer measures from EA and make them stand accountable for it?

Gosh I hate gaming media so much. They're the worst kind of genital-sucking, butt-licking pieces of crap ever.

Go ahead MacgamerHQ, join IGN and the rest of the integrity-illiterate buffoons to keep propping up and promoting EA's products while they ruin gaming culture...

I wasn't originally going to respond, but it seems as if you don't really know how these kind of business operate (not to be mean, but just an observation).

EA makes a lot of their money on first-adopters based on marketing appeal.

Here on N4G and other core sites where we follow news regularly, we express "hate" toward EA and actually don't buy their products. But a lot of casual consumers still purchase their stuff because they don'...

Most of the people who made the original KOTOR as good as it was is no longer there.

The current BioWare is like the current Infinity Ward.

Expect KOTOR 3 to be on par to Modern Warfare 3.

It's disturbing to see how many people who were fed feces from this company is now back under them, ready to eat feces from them once more.

You guys all forgot about the NHL, SimCity, Tortanic, Scrabble, Mass Effect, microtransaction, anti-consumerism from EA that fast? Really?

Ugh.

This is why we can't have nice things.

I wonder if this article will prompt a sequel for White Knight Chronicles?

4670d ago 1 agree1 disagreeView comment

I was going to say the same thing.

So many rich kids spoiled with 4 maps for $15 that they don't know how to appreciate a standalone expansion with 8 full hours worth of content for the same price.

This is why Activision and EA's executives can afford to put golden toilets in their diamond yachts.

Well keep up the good work. It may pay off in the end, just like with Angry Joe.

I don't even bother visiting places like IGN or Gamespot anymore (though to be fair, some of Gamespot's news writers aren't always quick to write-off consumers).

I also understand about large sites having to pay the living wages for a full time staff...it just seems counterproductive to piss on the consumers who contribute to the pageviews that also pay the wages.

4672d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

How come only no-name sites have the balls to be pro-consumer?

Is it really that hard for larger sites to stop sucking on the hairy scrotum of publishers to at least pay attention to what's happening in the consumer community and find out WHY gamers are pissed off?

Sad, but this article needs to steamroll over all the pro-corporate greedy douchebag pieces that GameInformer and other top sites have been writing recently to defend Sega and Gearbox.
