If you heard the crowd it was clearly for Microsoft and the Xbox One. They were pretty pumped when the Ultra Combos started flying out.
I prefer SSBB over SSBM but hot dang that grand finale was unbelievable. It deserved the viewership it received.
The people chanting Nintendo and Smash Bros at the event gave me goosebumps. That was unbelievably legit.
LOL @ Xbox getting booed out of EVO
It'll be on YouTube soon enough.
The stream is live right now so it's not going to be available until it's in the archive.
People here are being daft when they say Games > Policies.
You do know that you CAN'T play games if the policies don't allow you to?
This year's E3 was ALL about the politics of the industry and would determine the future of our ENTIRE HOBBY.
I can't believe people are so dense as to just say "hurr durr, dem graphics were better, hurr durr". If you can't play the game what does it matter if the company is show...
You're mostly right, but AAA development starts at about $20 million. The average is about $40 million with the inclusion of marketing.
Skype is part of the Xbox One's core features.

Seeing polygonal boobs could entice young kids to want to see MORE boobs and real boobs and then do more than just see the boobs. Get the drift?
Teens are usually highly captivated with sex because it's that time where they're changing and stuff, so it holds a much stronger interest for them. I can easily see why people would want to refrain younger audiences from being exposed to too much and reacting on that (sort of like if a teenager sees porn and then decides to ...
lol wut?
Article is silly. I'm gonna get a bunch of indie games when they hit the 75% mark and stock up on games that are actually fun.
Right now a bunch of Hollywood stuff is on sale and I have no interest in those games.
I love how all the idiots championing game synching completely forget that the average person doesn't have a 100mb/s connection. They're a complete minority.
Next-gen games will be on Blu-ray disc and you bring up a good point: why would people want to download that much data on a regular basis? It took me a couple of days to download Max Payne 3. Now imagine games that make near full use of the 50GB disc.
We DO NOT have an infrastructure to support t...
I don't know how it would play exactly, but a Samaritan game would be so cool.
This game is still looking cool, but I feel like Project CARS has stepped out into the lead now.
The damage control in this thread is deafening.
lol, dude, what about the MS rep clearly saying that they were using PCs as dev kits? Are we suppopsed to ignore facts and truth now because fanboys said it wasn't so?
Kind of wish Jim hadn't read his from the tablet...felt cheap.
It would have been awesome if he was at the podium with the Jimquisition gimmick in full bloom! Would have been more awesome.
Man, I wish I had that tree.
Didn't know so many members of the Doritocracy had one.
I don't mean to be a Debbie downer here but almost ALL the studies show that more than 42% of all the gaming population are female...however, they usually note that a vast majority of that percentage prefer playing social/casual games.
I would be interested to know in that study, what percentage actually played games not classified as casual types?
The survey noted majority owned a Wii, and we all know that a lot of casuals bought the Wii for casual gami...
Yeah, because indie devs can get registered for the PS4 without any additional fees.
So once Rocket and the crew get the alpha working right on PC they'll aim to port it over to the PS4.
Some indie PC devs have said it takes about 3 months to port 1:1 from PC to PS4 with all the functionality of a console.
So whenever the alpha build of DayZ gets stable enough on PC (and goes public) expect a few months down the road to have a PS4 annou...
They just need to ensure that The Last of Us core gamers aren't being tossed AAA scraps and 4-hour Michael Bay 'splosion fests.
He's the reason we ALL knew about the Xbox One's DRM a year in advance.
If it wasn't for him we never would have known about the used game restrictions and other DRM in the Xbox (or at least prompt gaming media to ask about it).
It seems so fitting that a site called Stickskills would be up on the EVO news. lol
