To each his own, but my experience so far has been that BLR has just been much smoother, beta or release versions. It is strictly PC though so that's definitely a factor.
Yes, like any experience we retrospectively contemplate, or have gone through we are indelibly altered by that experience, but when does that deter us from trying again?
The least "realistic" part of playing the game would be NOT to play it again after knowing the outcome, or what you did right/wrong.
But his point is not without merit. Innocence lost is never regained. But the experience we gain cannot be attained otherwise.
Compared with something like Blacklight Retribution, I think it is very lack luster.
Beta? What Beta?
1st rule of Beta, don't talk about beta...
2nd rule of Beta.. ahh, who gives a shi%!
Blacklight has an overburdened, albeit deep, interface and customization options. But BLR just plain looks and plays better.
Well somehow the visuals look worse and worse every time I come back to it... the giant Reapers or whatever at the beginning are soooooooooooooooooooo low resolution it's laughable. Fire effects and character models in general are horrible.
It really makes me look back at Resistance: Fall of Man (the first game in the series) and wonder how it looks better than ME3...
Hmm... dunno, but could mean they are going with another title for the game that they were keeping under wraps? But that's the optimistic view.
One thing and one thing only will even permit 3d gaming to become mainstream (goes for films as well) and that's when the majority of tv models include 3d viewing options as a standard option.
Just curious...
If you don't know this: " Is it the PS3's OS or IO or whatever it is called?"
Then how could you possibly claim this: "The hardware on the PS3 and Xbox 360 are 90% identical in terms of performance?"
...tossing three grenades simultaneously...
EA are magicians, truly..
I was designing a console...
Called the AT 2328 (acid trip and the random number 2328..)
Basically it consisted of a VCR set to continuous play of Ren and Stimpy episodes and retrofitted with a non-functioning remote control with an IV tube rather than a power cord tapping into an internal reservoir containing a psychotropic drug, not unlike the PS2 controller of old in appearance, but redesigned to administer small periodic doses of LSD via tiny needles pro...
WITH a blu-ray player... don't think so. Maybe some kind of digital only thing, but that would eliminate the 16 gigger almost immediately and I would hope SONY would've learned their lesson with the PSP Go.
Hard or difficult? :) Shwing! Because it's usually more difficult not to when it's hard.
Bada bing...?
no
Bada lame... :(
I know it's probably uber extremely unlikely, but.... is it possible it was a misprint/typo? That it was intended to be 160 GB?
160, 320, 500?
Maybe..
Though it truly is cheap and easy to upgrade your drive.
I'm not a MGS fanboy at all, but just the content in-game (DLC = wallet rape), story, complex as it may be, the character development, gameplay mechanics (untouchable)... it's the whole package, minus a now defunct multiplayer.
Truly great developers and devotion. Probably the most well-made and rounded game this gen.
Skyrim shoots for quantity and size, but nothing competes with MGS4 in quality and content per square foot in a digital game world and ...
Forget trophies... that damn install every chapter was the only thing that kept me from replaying it a hundred times instead of just twenty or so.
- it will finally be convenient to jump between chapters!!! :)
FINALLY!
and
Thank You Koji-poo
Every time they patch their mistakes.. should equal some free DLC
As far as "the story" goes, one game whose approach (somewhat) to the campaign mode which I found absolutely refreshing and unrestrictive (comparatively speaking) was MoH Airborne.
Love to see the semi open-world model utilized in a BF game. Especially with all the pseudo-multiplayer options available today. Choose to paradrop, or utilize AC-130 support, or chopper or tank and so on.
Don't care which was "better."
But a pie chart and a list (an embarrassingly compiled one at that) does not equate to "calculations."
Real heavy science going on here, you betcha...
It's a game... any game is 'allowed' to do whatever the developers want.
And my comment anyway never suggested otherwise, I'm not loyal to the MGS franchise or cannon in any way.
Just questioning the validity of the it being 'bold' statement.
Sure, if you define "bold" as a complete departure from the style of story-telling and gameplay that made the MGS franchise BOLD to begin with... it's bold for an MGS game, but run-of-the-mill for a slice em' up and dice em' action spin-off.
And I'm no MG diehard fan
Some movies don't either... they're called porn. Maybe not needed, but nevertheless appreciated by those who enjoy a good ole story. The MGS series just happens to represent the epitome of story and cinematic gaming and it would be a loss to many if it were to die because of some moneygrubber's narrow-sightedness.
