I'm not even going to bother with MW2 multi-player this time around. I'll most likely get the game around Jan. to March 2010 sometime... getting it from craigslist.org (for $40 or less), only for the single-player & co-op. I've had my fair share of arcade FPS "run 'n' gun" shootem ups, their getting very stale to me these days, plus I'll be too busy playing Operation Flashpoint 2 DR.
I'm drawn in by the concept of shooting your opponent before they shoot you and not...
It's really 16v16, the thing is that out of those 16 players on screen, only 4 are real human players. Each real player has 3 A.I. team mates to control. You have other lives besides your own to think about... the true sign of your leadership skills is to get through the MP match with all your guys healthy and in one piece while completing your objective.
A new interesting twist in console online gaming to force you to play tactically and slows the pace down. Not for the run 'n' ...
I'll take cons like that any time as well!
I too am not giddy with excitement over MW2 like the masses. I won't lie though, I'll end up picking it up off craigslist.org for cheap ($50 or less) in the new year sometime (for the single player & co-op), but true be told, I'm pretty board with twitchy FPS. I'm in the MAG beta right now and it reminds me a lot of COD4 (because of how most play it), just on a much larger scale. Teamwork is the key to that game, but it's hard to find.
The exception to the rule for me however...
I hate streaming & subscription base anything... it's a rip-off!!! However some suckers will bite, then a year later or two later be upset because it disappeared!
Why don't they sell me something useful... like COD:MW toilet paper for instance, so I can think of them every time I wipe my arse!

I have played the online multi-player beta and if you consider GeOW 1&2 shooters... you must consider Uc2 a shooter as well. The gameplay is fanstastic!
I will admit Uc1 wasn't what I considered a shooter but I definitely (IMO) believe Uc2 is a shooter!
Not to say that it's a bad article or those on his list aren't top anticipated games. I just can not believe that is a true reflection of the "Most Anticipated Shooters" and I don't believe the author has the entire hardcore shooter fan demographic in mind when he wrote this list (that includes the much hated PS3 users). It seems more like his own personal list of shooters he's looking forward too.

I actually feel for you man... I remember a time (a few years back) when the tables were turned and anyone that was a fan of the PS3 or Playstation brand (a very small minority at the time) was bullied around the N4G & Gametrailers websites. I use to read all the hateful posts directed at PS3 enthusiasts (me being one of them) and it's very ironic how the tables have turned in just a couple of years!

I know you're one of 360's main cheerleaders on N4G (from reading your history) and to me there's nothing wrong with that, however I believe you should have included "IMO" because that statement is based on your opinion and not actually fact... sales don't factually equal best FPS game ever. The best FPS ever is something that is very subjective... ask 100,0...

Good point... you've just bought a useless piece of plastic without those monthly payments! I never thought of that.
I'm not for paying monthly for any game! Charge me $150-$200 instead for the game & I might bite, but I'll pass if it's monthly. I still don't get the whole WOW monthly payment thing??? What's so special about paying for the initial game, then paying a monthly fee to play a game you already own, then paying for the add-ons? It's doesn't make a lot of sense to me?
Could you imagine how much some people have paid in total since WOW first released... for the right to play ONE g...

they need to ditch the UE3 & use the CryEngine 3. I loved the game except for the shiny plastic looking graphics!
There's about 40 of my friends on my PSN friends list are hyped about this game! Finally a realistic tactical shooter on the PS3... there's more people than you think, that have been waiting for a game like this! Not everyone loves the break neck face pace arcade shooters.
This game reminds me a little of the single player missions from the Socom series... just a lot more realistic & it's a FPS not TPS. It has a similar concept where as it's a 4 man team that you lead tactica...

How can you say that when the prompts distinctly are PC Keyboard & Mouse inputs???
Also, when play testing development builds from a dev console kit attached to a PC, you still have to use the CONSOLE CONTROLLER!!! So you should still have controller prompts & not PC prompts!!
I'm not saying that the 360 can't or won't do these graphics, but I'm saying that you can't ASSUME ...
the obvious here. Why would someone want to buy a 250GB PS3 when you can spend less money on the 120GB, then purchase a 320GB or a 500GB for dirt cheap and install it yourself?

A very large number of 360 gamers only play shooters on the 360, so of course they are going to have the larger number of sales.
