I'm in the same boat as you my friend...
I waited to purchase my next-gen system, I wanted to compare the 3 consoles before making a purchase.
I have a friend that has all 3 consoles & in Christmas of 2006 he brought his Wii over and we (my wife, 2 girls (12 & 6) & I) love it, Wii Sports was fun as hell.
Then, in Feb. of 2007 my friend went on vacation for 2 weeks and lent me his 360. As soon I plugged it in, it RROD on me... and I was so hyp...
Great assessment! I however have managed to convert a number of my medium sized clients (most are 50-75 workstations) to linux (ubuntu) without too much headaches. The worst I find are the longtime Windows office users that b*tch, moan & complain about any new interfaces in software (any software for that matter). So to combat that, I've had to create many easy to understand tutorials (cheat sheets) & hold "new interface for the laymen" training sessions.

re-review LBP after all the new content is released in the next year. The addition of weapons & lasers, do add a whole new dimension to the game! Now you will be able to create side scroll shooters, like the MGS/LBP dlc.
Ever since that trailer was release last week, there has been a renewed buzz surrounding LBP. It's amazing to see that all it takes is the addition of a paintball gun (Paintinator) into the game and the younger gamers interest starts to peak... talk about vio...
that linux isn't for everyone... it's your own choice to use it or not.
However, I have installed ubuntu linux in an entire small business office environment, with users kicking & screaming about the same things. Ironically, 6 months later they fall in love with it and ask to have it installed at home. They love the reliability (it just works once setup) and the fact that they can do the exact same things as they do in windows.
I suggest you not install it on you...
play a lot of games on linux. You can even use Valve's Steam service as well. But, seeing as you're new to linux... you should used Transgaming's Cedega 7.0 to install & play your games. It makes thing as easy as using Windows itself.

here we are 4 days before christmas and reading all the negative & hateful comments on this story and many others the past couple of weeks. If the 360 didn't have the RROD issue then many 360 enthusists wouldn't have to purchase replacement(s) and many would still be on their original 360 they bought. That would definitely equal less units sold... I'm not stupid enough to try and throw out some incorrect figure, so use your own imagination.
I may be wrong, but something tells me that you're not fan of the ps3 console.
I believe that Johnny Rotten is correct... it wouldn't make much sense to have both working at the same time, especially how sensitive the buttons are on the ps3 controller.
I will say that you are correct though about the 360 controller being more ergonically designed better, but such is life. I just have to get use to it.

Well to me it's looks pretty descent & I can get use to using it, just like I got use to using a controller to play videogames, the functionality it packs is more than enough reason for me to purchase this keypad.
As for having it's own batteries, I have no issues with that, it just means the battery for my controller will last quite a bit longer and seeing how I don't have to fumble around with bat...
Maybe you should just skip the home icon & stick to the xmb then. It's blatantly obvious that home is not for you.

I second the notion... I too have never spent the extra money for a collectors edition for any game. BUT this just might be the first time I take the plunge!
