I've been in the beta since day one and although the gameplay is decent and some what fun, my friends and I are so looking forward to the co-op! It's the one mode that is usually free of lag, lag switchers, cheaters and a lot more fun!
Rumor is that it's coming possibly early 2012!
The game is AWESOME to play... I'm having so much fun in the private beta! Your right about the no pistols... I would love to play a few matches of pistols only!

I totally agree... for me it's an old school thing. We use to have a saying back in the day of playing sports (70's-80's), which goes like this... "it ain't called braggin' if you can back it up!".
There is however a fine line though, make sure not to over do it, that's called gloating which usually has you getting your butt kicked... but a small competitive jabb here & there was always acceptable.

The Governments have to do what the bankers dictate... they are the ones funding the militarys and economies of your/our countries.

Agreed! I will be supporting their decision, I prefer co-op over pvp. There's a lot more tactical teamwork play and much more communication involved.
Personally, I have more fun playing co-op!

I've got plenty of friends that love co-op and play that mode exclusively, so I'm not hurting for mates.
I actually have PS3 LAN gaming nights with the good old boys where we have a night away from the wives & kids, for some great gaming.
Unfortunately, I don't own a xb360 and in most games it's such a chore to mute all player except for your buds.
I'll just rent it like I did with MW2 & BLOPS, it'll be worth the $8. There's no co-op in this game, so for me there's no replay value. I'm not one who likes online multiplayer, because of the immaturity online... it's not fun anymore, with the all the cheating going on & bombardment of cussing/swearing/racists remarks, it gets old real quick!
Co-op allows for a more mature relaxing game with friends and is why I'm really looking forward t...

Dragon Rising was great in concept but poor in execution. I did love the realism but the graphics (on the PS3) was not very good, especially trying to locate enemies in the draw distance. I did finish the whole game... twice and had the best co-op experience in my 30+ years of gaming.
But sadly it was easily forgettable because of all the issues it had. Sadly you're right, it will be overlooked because of the other big titles releases around the same time. They should rel...

You should never take modern 'gaming journalism' (I use the term loosely) seriously. It's a very biased form of information on all fronts, with all platforms, in all shapes & sizes of gaming media .
There's always a hidden agenda somewhere in the message and is not to be ever trusted. It's human nature to always side subconsciously or not with one of the opposing factions with in any competitive environment, whether it be financial incentives, emotion...
I'm right there with you v_o_r! I too love the slower paced tactical shooters & co-op, way more than the break neck paced twitchy arcade multiplayer shooters, that have become so popular these days! I'm looking forward to this game just because it's only co-op.
The one thing I'm hoping for is better graphics on the consoles... OFP:DR's graphics on the PS3 was horrible, especially looking at enemies in the draw distance.

What is so tactical about running around an arena with your head cut off like a chicken, shooting everything in sight???
I have never come across any player using his/her mic in COD to call out enemies or tactics... only to trash talk and/or shoot the breeze.
