I don't consider myself a "hardcore" gamer at all, basically an older, more casual (at this point in my life) gamer, and I would EASILY spend over $180 a year on games, and I rarely paid full price. Granted, I could then turn around and resell my physical copy and recoup some of my investment, but at that point, I'm just basically renting the game anyway.

I was going to write basically the same thing, but I think you said it better. Not bad, just kinda boring and repetitive. Basically what IGN said. I haven't run into any technical issues on my XOX, but it does seem like a mobile game brought to consoles. Doesn't necessarily make it a bad game, just not one I care for and definitely not worth 40 bucks. Worth checking out on GP, but I wouldn't sink any money into it other than that.

I'm not sure if maybe that was intentional. I would like to see some respawning, but I personally always hated it when you cleared out an area, and then went back to it like 5 minutes later, only to find that all the enemies you just killed are somehow alive again!! Maybe if they respawned after one game day or something that would be a good compromise.

Yea, looks more like a dungeon crawler. Hack and slash, looter game. I think the term RPG has different meanings to different people. I tend to agree with you though, "deep dialogue, and lengthy quests" are the definition of RPG for me.

I have to agree with @chiefJohn117 about that. It has been my experience as well, and I don't really understand exactly why either. I suppose I could do a deep psychological dive on myself to try to figure it out, but I think I will just pull up another game from my Game Pass backlog to play!!

I'm sure that they do, it has just been there experience that when the game was on Game Pass there was more continuous interaction. I think they are just sharing how things went with Forza Horizon 4. It sounds like they weren't really sure of the idea at first, but it is working for them.

I don't think it is news to anyone, most of all MS, that they have virtually no market share in Japan. There are many reasons for that, including the fact that the Japanese are culturally speaking, will support Japanese companies over foreign countries. They are very nationalist that way.
Obviously there are many more reasons, lack of games targeted at the market, etc., but the cultural reasons are a factor.

As a SP guy, I'll be interested how it plays solo. I know it is set up to allow it, I just wonder how much it will effect the game.
While I personally am excited about the Zenimax purchase, it has definitely been overblown, by everyone. I like a lot of the games they make, so I am excited to see them coming to GP.
