No, it's the same as all Game Pass titles. It's the same with MS first party titles. You can play Forza 4, but Forza 3 is not available anymore. At some point it is probably not worth the server space for a game that very few would play anymore because the newer version is available. Still, that is definitely one downside of having a subscription for games. If you really want to play that particular game, you can buy it for a discount on Game Pass, or often find a used physical c...
I have to agree. I used to be a big physical guy, for the same reasons. I'd usually go the Ebay route, but still selling at a big loss. I understand it is not for everyone. There are lots of reasons to still buy physical, but if you can't see how this is beneficial to many consumers, you are just being blind and stubborn.
I started it on my XOX and only ran into minor performance issues, nothing game breaking. The problem I had was mostly the things that have already been mentioned. At the end of the day, I just found it boring. I'll probably go back to it some day, it really wasn't terrible, but I just couldn't get into the story, and that was really the whole point. I can forgive some of the promised mechanics being missing or just taken out, as somebody already said, it is a natural part of ...
"Dungeons & Dragons or D&D has been igniting the imagination of fans across the world for nearly 75 years."
Maybe if you start counting from when Gary Gygax was born. D&D was started in 1971 or 50 years by my count.
Changed category to rumor. Thanks for pointing that out.
Meh
"We all know very well Microsoft would have never created gamepass if they had Sony and Nintendo kind of sales."
You state the obvious here, to which I say, I don't really care why!!
It is true that MS got their asses handed to them last gen, so why is it so crazy that they would advocate for a different model? I give them props for identifying the problem that they have, though it was so obvious that anyone could see, and trying an innovat...
Even if I could find one, I have a hard time justifying $500 for this purchase. My XOX does a pretty good job of running most games out there right not, and if MS really follows through with the cloud stuff like they say, it might not even be necessary to own one. At this point it is a wait and see for me, might take the plunge when the price starts dropping, but as far as I can tell, there just isn't the value in it for me.
Those were the same kind of issues that I ran into streaming on an Iphone. Had a good solid WiFi connection, but very laggy. Only tried Wreckfest, but it was really hard to play. As MS has constantly said, this is still in Beta, it's not like they are charging for this yet (cough, cough, Stadia!!). They are slowly releasing it, developing it and working out the bugs. Even after all of that it will still greatly depend on connection and other factors, but I still strongly believe that...
Very disappointed in this game. I had high hopes. I wish there were a better way to enjoy this SP. I'm not sure why they just didn't have the other 3 party members as AI controlled. It's not like that option hasn't been used in games like this for years. I understand that it was designed for group play, but it's like they included the option to play SP and made it so broken that you would just say screw it and play co-op to make it work. Oh well, at least I didn'...
I really wish they would release a DECENT Fast and the Furious game for consoles. It seems like a natural fit and instant brand awareness. The latest one looks like a train wreck. With all of the F and F money, you'd think they would invest a little of it into a real game.
Well said. I think the whole "PC Police" thing is often used as an excuse to just be racist and mean, sometimes without even meaning to. Not to get way off on a political tangent but that is the whole point of something like Critical Race Theory. Certain groups of people have tried to redefine the meaning of that to be "all white people are racist" and that is not at all what it means. I think it is more what you are saying and recognizing when something you say or do ...
Haven't played the upgraded version but I am enjoying it on my XOX.
Currently one of my favorite racers, just some good mindless fun. It plays to my strengths as I kinda suck at racing games and usually drive like that anyway. I just get rewarded for it here. I haven't run into too many tech issues on my system, but it sounds like the issues are mostly on the Series S. Hopefully they will get them patched or something.
If you have Game Pass I ...
I messed around with this over the weekend with my son a bit. I'm 52 and mobile gaming doesn't interest me at all, but he's 20 and thought it was pretty cool. We were on a home WiFi getting a pretty steady 50+Mbps and still had some pretty major lag issues. He tried Wreckfest and it was pretty unplayable.
I'm not bashing the idea, in fact I really believe it to be the future of gaming, but it is still just that, the FUTURE. But hey, that's why this i...
Given where many peoples sensitivities are about this kind of stuff in the world today, it was probably just a bad idea. A bit tone deaf I would say. I see what they were trying to do, but it was a pretty bad read on who they were pitching to. As someone else mentioned, the game industry is often looking for a story that will generate clicks and when you put the big "R" into it, you know you will generate discussion.
All that said, I think people in general c...
Interesting article. Here is one from Kotaku that references the mentioned event and relates a similar story from 20 years ago.

Just as long as they don't try to reinvent the wheel like the last proposed Fable idea. I don't remember exactly how it was supposed to work but I think it was multiplayer and 4 players teamed up to battle 1. Not a terrible concept, I suppose, doesn't interest me, but should only be a side project if that.
I guess I'm not the only one who felt that way because I don't think it made it very far in development.

"Lmao it’s their ancient engine. No new engine? Same old shit."
Though it is not mentioned specifically in this article, Bethesda has developed a new engine for Starfield called Creation Engine 2.
For all of the fanboys who will now scream, "That's not new, they have used Creation Engine for years!!" re-read the statement. The Creation Engine 2 is a NEW system developed for the new gaming generation....
Shoot, just bought Hot Pursuit Remastered last month. Oh well, it was on sale and wouldn't have been cheaper to buy on GP. That was really the only one that caught my eye. They usually drop stuff mid-month too, so hopefully it will get better. Not that impressed, but no big deal because there are still many games on there I haven't gotten to anyway!
But, but, games are leaving too!!! LOL
