Looks like a great deal. Even this game is worth $10!! Gotta order it by the end of the day today though
I didn't know that system had shipped yet.
That all makes sense to me. I think getting AAA games for day 1 release from 3rd party publishers will continue to be a tough sell unless MS ponies up a lot of cash up front, which they are certainly able to do if they choose to. 1st party titles make much more sense, thus MS buying up a bunch of developers to increase their 1st party selection. I think MS already understands this, as it seems to reflect their model, which seems to be successful, at least to this point. Most of the 3rd pa...
While I agree that it is a good move to stay away from proprietary, it would be nice if they presented a more "elegant" solution. Say what you will about the MS solution, expensive yes, but very straightforward and easy to use. Sony should have known that there is no way that the provided SSD space would be enough, everyone else did. I'm guessing it is too late for Sony to come up with any kind of "plug and play" design at this point.
My hope is t...
As usual I think most of the comments are from people who never read the article. The article wasn't even about sales, it was more about what defines "winning" in the console wars. As the article correctly points out, all three (yes there are 3 consoles out there, and Nintendo regularly beats both of them with an old console!!) consoles in the war and all there define "winning" differently. That's about all it says, "winning the console war" is about m...
I really don't see the issue of having cheat codes and a developer trying to make a bit of coin off of it. As long as it is a SP game, who cares?!
I think there is potential for Game Pass to work well for MS, customers and developers, but it is going to disrupt the system and there will be some losers. It seems like common sense that 3rd party developers will lose some sales to Game Pass, either way. If they participate, they will often lose the sale of the original game, as it is available for "free" on GP. Of course they do get the opportunity to "advertise" their game to all of the GP subs and potentially sell ...
"My most disappointing game from the list would probably be dark alliance."
This!!!
I was so looking forward to this. What a letdown!!
Unfortunately I think you are correct. We can always wish I guess!!
More comments attract higher placement on this site which brings more attention. More attention=more people=more opportunities to get clicks. Best bet with something you don't want to get clicks...just don't click or comment on it!!
Yet you comment, so I guess it was successful. People will never learn
I just don't understand how this is even a thing for SP games. Who cares what setting you play on in the privacy of your own home.
Sometimes life circumstances change. Maybe you were hard up for cash and had no choice and things are better now. Maybe the console broke or wore out. There are many possibilities. The point is that you should not have to do that. It's similar to film preservation. We now have the ability to watch old Super 8 films on a computer. There is a process involved to achieve this, but it is not impossible. I think that is the point.
DLC???
I think the point is more with single player games that require no actual social interaction to play the game. I suppose those losers who choose the easy button should just keep their shame to themselves and not discuss their experience in public. It would be terrible for those who actually put in the WORK (lets just forget the fact that these are GAMES that we are talking about!!) to beat the game on super impossible, triple black diamond difficulty to have to hear about these simpletons ...
Most games have a recommended or normal difficulty setting (the one's that have one) so theoretically the normal setting would be the one that developers have in mind when developing the game. It definitely should be at the developers discretion, as it is their vision.
I can't really disagree with your points, but I still don't think your argument is valid as to if it is a good idea or not. Personally I like the idea of games being made available to the most n...
You must be new to this site to make a comment like that. Gaming is full of toxicity right now. You are correct in your first statement, unfortunately it seems like far too many need to be told this.
Yeah, I was being sarcastic. Just wanted to see if everyone piled on here like they do on the articles about games leaving Game Pass.
Duh, when it's available on Game Pass for "free" that is to be expected. I doubt it would have gotten anywhere the exposure just as a regular release. Though in this case, that might have been for the better as the game pretty much sucks. At least they didn't get my $40. Thanks Game Pass!!
According to Phil Spencer deals are "all over the place",

I think the because this is still a new form of distribution, they are still experimenting with what works for all parties involved. I don't think that GP is the best form of distribution for all games, especially 3rd party games....
