@waverunner
You do know that millions of people use Netflix every day for free. Password sharing runs rampant and has since the beginning. It's not that they are unaware of this, it is just not worth it to them to rock the boat. Now, after 20 years they are starting to make a little noise about cracking down on this.
My point is, it is not that companies are not aware of these workarounds, it's just that the vast majority of people just won...
I really don't understand the obsession with MS profit margins. They will be just fine even if they use this as a loss leader to get people into the MS microsystem. MS has plenty of money from many different streams. They are a large diversified company, so all of this concern over how they are going to make money is completely irrelevant. If you like what GamePass provides to you and think it is worth the money, you should get it. I fall in that camp. If you think the games are wea...
"The winds of change are coming, and with it an evolution to Private Worlds!"
This might be interesting
I can almost promise you that if you turn up at Best Buy anytime in the two weeks following launch and you will get the same steelbook case. Done it several times over the last few years. I wouldn't let the promise of a fancy case let you sink your money into a preorder. If it sucks out the gate, don't say nobody warned you.
My main issues was too many cut scenes that should have been playable and I don't care for the aiming. Again, those are just personal opinions, but that is pretty much what this place is all about.
"There is also talk of a GP/Xcloud streaming stick coming in the near future."
This is a much more likely scenario
Buyer beware of GaaS. Stinky!!

In order for there to be a war, there has to be 2 combatants, and I think Sony is fighting the console war by themselves.
What MS has done is smart business. They realize that they will never sell more consoles than Sony, their install base is just too big. Most people who play PS will buy a PS5, most Xbox players will upgrade to a Xbox Series box, eventually. They fight is among non-gamers and new gamers. For those MS offers a very low point of entr...
Ah, come on...take the high road brother!!
I'm not sure how you got that from any of the above comments.
Now that EA Play is on Game Pass I just wait for 6 months after release and I can play it for "free". The only possible downside to this is that the rosters do not update anymore.
G4L, you mention cashing in achievement points for Rewards, could you explain? I know you can get Reward points for completing some achievements, but I've never heard of "cashing in" achievement points for Reward points. Thanks
I see where you are coming from. I think the main issue is what info the developer chooses to share. What usually happens is they produce trailers that bear no resemblance to what the actual game looks like. Perhaps if they gave more context in what they show it would be better
I'm pretty sure this is just the stuff the EA Play section is adding.
EA adds most of last year's sports releases about 4-6 months before the new one's come out.
The author states:
"The key one being it’s still buggy as hell. I’ve suffered multiple crashes and I’ve had instances where all the sound cuts out to be replaced with a loud buzzing noise and requires a reboot, which obviously impacts the playing experience quite heavily. I’ve had stupid ones like the Nomad spawning inside a building where you can’t then use it, cutscenes where people are holding invisible weapons and instances of speech starting unprompted and seeming...
I mean, if you don't like it, just don't get it. I don't like paying full price for games, for the price of buying a few a year, I get access to a bunch of them. It works for me and apparently a lot of others as the service is growing. Just as physical movies are an option for collectors, physical games will be an option as well. And if you think you "own" anything you buy digitally, game wise, you might want to read the T&C your scroll by when you plop down your...
I'm pretty sure that was the idea they had when they doubled the price of Gold. That didn't go over so well! I think you are definitely on point though.
MS is dependent on on a good connection for this to work. We are not there yet with most people, however speeds are increasing and will continue to increase. MS is just really early in this space, but I do think that it is the future. The future is just taking awhile to get here
Who are you with this crazy logic?? LOL
Well, because you asked. I have an Xbox and no interest in online gaming. I do understand that puts me greatly in the minority, but dinosaurs like me do exist!! I am 52 and my first console was an Atari 2600, when it was brand new!! Yep, old fart.
The thing is, there are a lot of us out here, and we have a lot of discretionary income, much more that I had in my 20's at least. The time we can spend gaming is more limited with jobs and kids, etc. but we do game, most...
