Yep, November 3rd. As far as being a bad game, it has an 83 on Metacritic, for what that is worth. Hardly one of those 2 year old AAA titles that all the haters talk about.
I would love to see Rockstar put another Midnight Club out. I remember that game fondly, the customization was top notch at the time. It had a nice arcady feel to the driving, but looking at the cars was the main point.
Been a constant issue for me on both my XBO and One X. Not a huge deal, but a nice general improvement. Not sure why this wasn't addressed before now.
Sounds like GP fodder
I don't think there are any plans for new campaign DLC. I think they have said it will just be events, raids and MP stuff.
The biggest difference to me is the availability on Game Pass. On PS I have to pay full price. Yeah, I get it, I don't own the game, but if I try it and really like it, I can go ahead and buy it. This isn't meant to be a slam on PS, just one of the reasons I PERSONALLY prefer the Xbox solution
Yeah, I think MS has made it pretty clear that their game is not about selling consoles. Sure, they need to operate in that market, but they have made the decision to return to their roots, which is as a software/services provider. Did they do this because Sony was spanking them in sales? I'm sure that figured into the decision, but MS makes decisions as a mammoth corporation, of which gaming division is a fairly small part of. I'm pretty sure that gaming makes up a much larger pa...
As far as I can see in these articles about the earning call, it does not address "profits" for the Xbox division. MS as a whole reported profits of 15.5 B for last quarter, but I can't see where they break it up into divisions. There is large revenue growth across most divisions, including gaming, but this does not necessarily represent profits.
That said, unless you are an investor or something, I don't see where any of this should matter to a gamer. ...
You do understand that support for PC's and phones just left Beta recently and has not been offered since the beginning of GP. It will take some time for this to grow. The subscription service is also something that is new to both the PC and phone market, so it is a developing market.
You always have the option of paying with Microsoft Rewards. 5 minutes of web surfing and quiz taking a day and you can pay for it with rewards. I usually end up with enough to buy a couple of Amazon cards as well. I haven't paid in over 2 years.
I'm not sure why people have such a hard time accepting that many people, such as myself, don't really care about "exclusives" or even having several new AAA titles available at a time. I like what GamePass and MS provide to ME. PS is a model that works better for others, and then there are the Nintendo folks. Some have to have it all, and buy all 3 systems. Some, like ME, have only the time and money for one, so we pick the one that best suits our needs. Personally, it...
Same here. It's strange that there are so many different opinions on performance on identical machines.
About half way through and I haven't had any major issues on the OneX. I guess it depends on one's definition of "unplayable"
Yes, this is basically the same for Xbox. You can attach an SSD or regular hard drive, but you can only store games on it, you can't play them from this. The only current work around is to purchase expandable memory from Seagate that starts around $200 for 1 TB, thus making an already expensive console cost $700, if you can even find one
Yes they can, they just have to reach an agreement with the publisher. I think GTA V has come and gone and come back before. I don't know about any other games, but I think it is just a matter of contracts.
If a game is released for last gen, it should still work. Will it look as good as on new consoles and PC, of course not, but it should at least be playable and it is not for many. That said, many are being so freaking picky about tiny details that it will never reach an acceptable level for them. Those people are just being unrealistic IMHO.
I recently did a fast travel and noticed that when I arrived I was outside the subway station, which was originally how fast travel was supposed to work. An obvious example of what you are talking about.
I think it really depends on the person. I'm on XOX as well and while there have been some issues, none have really been game breaking for me. The problems you described seem pretty common in large open world games, not excusing it, but picture quality and low frame rate is not that unusual in huge games like this. Again, not excusing it, but not that uncommon. I'm not saying I didn't see the issues you mentioned, just that they are not that big a deal to me personally.
"I am not going to buy a Cd Projekt game day one anymore."
That should be for all games IMHO. Have some patience, give it a week or so, and never, never fall for a preorder!!
A very well thought out article that addresses many of the concerns people have about the sustainability of Gamepass with actual facts. A very good read
