My biggest gripe with Mafia 3 was with the difficulty settings. Easy was WAY too easy, just a slaughter house, and I really struggled on Normal. I know, I just need to "git gud", but I just don't have the extra time in my life for a frustrating game. Probably just because I'm old, but there are a lot of old gamers out there.
I'm a guy that usually jumps to the defence of Xbox, but those 2 point above are just stupid. Overall I think MS operates with somewhat more transparency and consumer "friendliness", but that is what I would expect from a perpetual underdog. It's Marketing 101, if you can't compete on product, compete with customer service.
That said, I don't see where the Series X/S launch was handled any better than Sony did with the PS5. They were both comple...
I had the same issues playing Mafia 3, not so much with the glitches, but the repetitious mission gameplay. I put it down after about 8 hours and haven't been back. I did enjoy the story and now that I have been reminded of it, I'll probably give it another chance.
As far as CP2077 goes, I am playing on a Xbox One X and haven't run into many issues yet. I tend to play games pretty slowly, so they may just be patching bugs before I run into them, but so far it...
uh, yeah, that and the 250 other games. Haters gonna hate!!
Not but anyone but CDPR. It's the same game on consoles and PC, of course you can mod on PC so who know what kind of crazy stuff will come out of that!!
They really buried the lead here. Those 4 games are leaving, but...
"Microsoft has confirmed The Medium as one of the new additions to the Game Pass subscription in addition to Yakuza 3, 4, and 5 Remastered, and Yakuza 6 that will be added in the coming days to the Game Pass subscription. They are also teasing a fan-favorite returning to the service soon, and based on how they added DOOM Eternal, this could be Fallout 4 which supports 60 FPS on Xbox Series X."

Gotta agree with you on that one, for the same reasons here. I've never understood the drama around this issue. It seems like a no brainer for developers to make a game that is accessible to all skill levels. If you are skilled enough to play on a crazy hard level and still enjoy it, just enjoy. I don't even care if super hard is the base level and you get other perks for playing it at that level, but it can't be that hard to offer a "dumbed down" skill level to allo...
I think there are actually at least 5 romance options, at least 2 of which are M/F, maybe 3. Google it, it's out there.
Are you thinking of Andromeda? That was a train wreck at launch that never really recovered
If you are going to release a game, it should work on the consoles it is released on. Everyone should understand that it's not going to run the same on an next gen or high end console as it runs on base, but it should at least be playable, and it is not for many.
I think the next couple of months will show where this is going. If their 2 scheduled updates actually fix the MAJOR issues and they release some quality free dlc, or at least the plan to do so, they will be ok. If this drags on much longer than that there will be a lot of damage. Also, if the new gen upgrades are really impressive, that will help
Does this mean that you will be able to campaign without anyone bothering you, if so I am all in. Might be a way to introduce old farts like me into a MMO Universe.
Been good for me on the One X as well, at least so far. I'm about 10 hours into the campaign and have crashed once, but it brought me back right to where it crashed. I've also had subtitles stick on the screen for 15-20 minutes at a time, and I have subtitles turned off!! Annoying stuff, but nothing horrible yet. I haven't gotten into a lot of "busy" scenes with a lot of combat yet, so that may be a problem. We'll see. I play so slow that the game will be fully...
Helpful, thanks!!
They are issuing refunds, though if you completed the game, you might be out of luck, not sure what the restrictions will be.
"Perhaps I'm playing Cyberpunk 2077 wrong? I'm following the main story and have pretty much ignored all of the side-quests thus far, but that's just how I approach games."
He answers his own question here:
"So yes, I do appreciate the fact that I can almost completely ignore the text messages which often blow up V's virtual phone, but I'm hearing through anecdotal evidence that Cyberpunk 2077 really comes alive in its s...
I'm about 8 hours in, slow playing very much on an Xbox One X and have run into very few problems so far. I know I have just scratched the surface, not even out of the prologue, but I've only encountered one bug so far that reset the game. Definitely not good, but almost all big AAA releases come out now riddled with bugs. This game almost needs system specific reviews as it seems to operate on all of them differently.
Day one patches fix some issues, but it'...
The game rebooted when I first got into the car to drive, but it took me back to the exact same spot...after a 2 minute reload time! Still not exactly game breaking. I'm on a One X and while maybe not groundbreaking, it looks like it will be a fun game.
Yeah, apparently I walked around naked for the first couple of hours of the game until I went into the inventory and enabled my clothes. It was kinda funny, but even basic clothes give some armor protection, so best to put some clothes on, though it would be kinda fun to complete the game naked. Maybe some kind of achievement??
I'm playing on a One X and haven't had any game breaking problems. There is the usual frame rate drops and some weird glitchy tearing and stuff, but unfortunately this is pretty common in big games like this. I'm slogging through it slowly, by the time I finish, it should be a pretty good fixed game. Glad I bought physical, at least when I'm done I can sell it on eBay and recoup some of my money. I figure by then, maybe the game will be in better shape and there might be a...
