And my excitement is genuine and I don't have to have the thought in my mind of "Yeah but what will it look like at launch and will it live up to the hype?"
I know the answer already.

" Just Cause 3, Mad Max, The Witcher 3, MGS V"
None of these games get down to the details like a fallout game or TES game does. These are first person games in which you get up close to things and see small details and items. Of those games above you listen, do any of them have the sheer detail of the garage you see in the first Fallout 4 screen? You could spend 15 minutes in that garage just looking at all the things. The games you listen are more focused on big s...
What I personally want from Fallout 4... The game. On my console. Now.
My tone has changed this gen. At first I was all about the 'graphics graphics graphics!" because it was a new gen. But after Infamous, Killzone, Ryse, & the Order, I want content & substance. This game looks like it'll have that in spades. And it DOES look freaking great. I can see this on my console right now and it makes me all the more eager to get my hands on it.
I think they're quite familiar with the game. Enough to know if it's worth hyping up. And they are hyping it. So...
Good Idea, i'll wait til it's free on PS+

This is the gen that Forza and GT get taken to school. The rise of the driving simulators is here and everyone has to step their game up.
BUT WHYYYY. Come on. Let the new gen begin.
Both are going to be massive system sellers.
Mobile gaming is the offspring of the Wii fad that started in 2006. It's target audience.... AREN'T GAMERS. Yet publishers (some at least) see it as "the future". Nope.
I've never seen something like DX12 before where there are such polarizing opinions regarding it's use on console.
just don't forget about the content of the game! Can't see those eyelashes, tongues or teeth in GAMEPLAY! Just a friendly reminder. I have no doubt everything will look stunning.
Man I was excited at the thought of 30-40% boost but I guess in retrospect that does seem too good to be true. Lesson learned. If it sounds too good to be true and the statement isn't directly talking about something specific, don't jump to conclusions. If Phil himself is saying DX12 is only going to provide modest improvements then it's safe to say: Don't expect anything major.
I'm excited to hear more about this:
High Precision
The D-pad reacts even faster and allows more precise movements.
The shape of the analog sticks and coating enable very precise movements and high grip.
Greater comfort
The design of the controller has been optimized so the controller sits better in your hands. The controller has internal batteries unlike the current models which rely on external AA batteries.
Always online just killed a MASSIVE amount of hype for me with this game. I also find it funny because I feel like it only costs them more money to maintain the game post launch rather than making a truly rich single player experience that can take pressure off online, allowing only those who want online to take advantage of that.
I hate when devs think they know better than us what would be a 'rewarding experience'.
To me, gaming with my friends was never as rewarding as coming home after an exhausting day of work, kicking off my shoes and just shutting off while I lose myself in a game. Just me and the game. Nothing else.
But you go ahead and tell me what a rewarding experience is for me, EA. Please.
Ken Levine is what made Bioshock... bioshock. He's a true mastermind and while the bioshock games weren't perfect, they provided things you just don't see anywhere else. Without him behind future Bioshock games, I can't say as I'm too hopeful. To me, the ending of Infinite was closure for the series and the Ken Levine era of Bioshock.
this is why I was bummed arkham knight stuck with UE3. Oh well.
Yes... I'm sure that's it. I have NO doubt they're half-assing a game, which they're known for doing. I'm sure in their meetings they absolutely said they'd phone it in and let the modders do the work.
And I'm sure there's NO OTHER EXPLANATION as to why we aren't seeing TLOU type character models in a massive open world game with mind boggling amounts of content.
