They had that game at my school back in the day. I remember trying to copy the red pages of the manual so that I could play past the intro on my PC at home.

I ended up playing through that intro so many times before i eventually picked the correct jar to drink from and the door opened, leading to the rest of the game. Such grand memories.

@Plastica-man

Prince of Persia started out as a 2D side-scroller. It makes perfect sense to use the POP franchise to showcase an expansion of the UbiArt engine. The notion that "2D = cheap" is extremely close-minded, but to each his own I guess.

That said, I've been wanting a new 3D POP for quite some time so I'm really hoping this isn't the only direction Ubisoft takes with the series going forward.

Give it time man, you just listed 40 years worth of Nintendo game releases there.

This is why Twitter is a horrible method of communication. It seems like all of thesse "Twitter fights" end up with apologies and friendship once the individuals involved actually get a chance to talk like humans have been doing throughout history. Limiting a conversation to back and forths in 140 characters or less is a recipe for confusion and misunderstanding.

Something tells me this insider knowledge from the Gamestop employee was followed up by "would you like to preorder GTAV today?"

I feel like merely mapping camera control to the VR headset is a perfectly fine use of VR.

It may not be terribly compelling, but if you can control where you look without having to take your thumb off the face buttons then it's at least somewhat beneficial even for third-person games.

"no console owner knows what you're talking about"

Apparently you live in an imaginary fantasy land where 0% of PC gamers own a gaming console.

Marketing isn't about informing the customer as much as it is about convincing the customer.

The remastered verison with anti-aliasing, improved lighting, higher polygon count character models, and higher resolution textures would look a lot better than the PS3 version even if it were merely 720p native.

There's a hell of a lot more going on in the remastered verison than just flipping a switch from 720p to 1080p.

My first time hearing of the game as well. I looked it up though and I have to say, if Natural Doctrine is your version of the antithesis of "safe" AAA crap, well I'll just stick with safe AAA crap thank you very much.

For Chico the experience of acting as the tool that is being used to torture someone he deeply cares about is quite possibly even worse than if he were merely being tortured alone.

I seriously hope that you don't actually believe that it would be pleasurable to be forced into that situation.

"Who the hell wants to play split screen multiplayer on the gamepad?"

The fifth person sitting there watching while his four friends play split screen maybe?

Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed does it yet Nintendo's own kart racer can't handle it.

Once again, Sega does what Nintendon't.

I'd like to know how much Microsoft is actually making in Gold subscriptions from people that don't ever play any games online.

It seems to me there'd be more to gain in consumer good will by allowing the use of apps like Netflix outside of a Gold subscription than could ever be gained financially from forcing people that don't play online games to consider alternative, cheaper, methods of accessing those services.

That being said, it seem...

@Illusive_Man

If I were involved in the design of the Xbox One I would have started with a very simple formula. Keep what made the Xbox 360 a great console then add enhancements.

I think it should be pretty obvious I had absolutely nothing to do with the design of the Xbox One.

Sony finally learned their lesson about building a console that is developer friendly. Maybe Nintendo will learn the same lesson eventually.

Do Nintendo's hardcore loyalists really believe that it would be impossible for Nintendo to produce quality games on hardware that is easy for third party devs to support?

WiiU's architecture is only as capable as the games that actually make use of it. Just like the PS3 you mentioned, what's the point of...

Yeah, cuz Trials Fusion on my PS4 or Xbox One wouldn't possibly be any fun with a buddy playing on PC. Rayman Legends co-op console/PC would be a total waste of time./s

You've gotta remember there actually are more online games than just shooters and other twitch based competitive games. Cross platform makes a lot of sense, even if it doesn't always make sense to everyone.
