I do find it funny that no-one seems to look at the same figures. One of the last sets of figure put up allowed you to overlap launches.

If you have young kids, then the Wii is the console.
If you are looking for a games console and have little money then the 360. It has the games and it comes at a reasonable price.
If you have money and looking for a games console, look at the future releases, pick the one with the games you want on it.
If you want something for films and a little gaming then it is the PS3.

I do find it funny how when the news was some nobody slammin the PS3 for price and lack of games that was as real as it could get. Now it is good news for the PS3 no-one wants to hear it any more.
I think the only good thing you can take from articles such as these is that the PS3 is starting to be percieved by the media to having a little success and not on its death bed.
These figures has little or no relevance. The game will sell on both systems. As for DLC if you have ever 100% completed a GTA game (3 onwards) then you know even with the story it kinda gets boring towards the end. The DLC could be made better if it was a whole new story set in the city that kinda sets up / follows on from the game.

Most people forget a few things when it comes down to console sales. Yes the PS2 had a year head start, but it was still along time after the original XBox came out that it started to sell well. After the price drop, I knew people who sold their PS2 to buy the XBox and as soon as the PS2 dropped price bought a PS2 again.

Yes if you look at the $100 dollars differance from the view point of a person who already owns a PS3 or a person not planning on owning a PS3 it doesn't seem worth it, but a person who is going to make a purchase it could be.

If they keep with the free 5 Blu-Ray movie deal then the $100 off price is kinda good. They want to use either the E3 or a prominent game release to tie it in.
The most watched game will be Killzone. PS3 owners will watch to see if the game can be that damn good. XBox owners will watch in the hope of it being crap and then Halo can reign supreme.
I think it is kinda sad in a way because other games will just be brushed over and almost forgotten.

This game is awesome, it deserves every high mark it is getting. It is simple and addictive. This and Calling All Cars is what keeps me going till September.
I think they did it for publicity, but at the same time the right thing to do. If they appologise and the church takes them through court then the public won't be so down on Sony because of it.
Don't see how the church can complain too much though, I mean it could have been turned into a brothel or something (go on "Rockstar" I dare you). It was an army hospital (as it was used in the war), that had been over run by aliens.

Lol... I am pretty sure Sony could half the price of the PS3, make the games retail for 10 dollars, make the PSN better than live and pay you to connect to the PSN and somehow they would still be copying Microsoft and still would not be as good.
As far as I am concerned the PS3 is my console of choice, but can still respect what Microsoft and Nintendo bring to the console market. It is a pity that others cannot or will not give back the respect.

I felt like the XBox and Gamecube owners was robbed of the games that should have been out in the last year of the consoles life.
I do not know how many pre-orders there are, I know it was doing quite well, but have not heard exact figures.
Whilst I agree 4 million pre-orders is good, Halo 3 being a good first person shooter comes as little or no surprise considering the previous 2 outings.
Warhawk being a good game has surprised people, first it was just gonna be a flying game, now it has vehicles and on foot combat. It is also not had a new version since the PS1, so it is looking good.

If you noticed it was about the beta for Warhawk vs Halo 3, nothing to do with Quake Wars. Is there even a beta out for Quake Wars?
As for Halo 3 being better, I guess its a matter of choice and I choose Warhawk.
Might not be E3 05 perfect. But is very busy on screen and looks very fluid.
Will buy on day of release and very happy that it is Keyboard / Mouse compatable.
