Uncharted 4 multiplayer is, quite frankly, a complete mess. This is easily the worst multiplayer component that Naughty Dog have ever crafted for one of their games and to see such a tremendous leap backwards from previous entries in the franchise is utterly baffling considering the delays that the game had. Very little content here, ranging from the most basic requirements of multiplayer offerings such as maps and modes, all the way to the mysterious disappearance of both the co-op arena mod...

"Whole of last year MS depended on Halo/Forza/Gears and third party games."
You could level the same criticism at Sony and Nintendo, to be honest. We've just seen the launch of the fifth Uncharted game and recently witnessed the unveiling of seventh Gran Turismo game, although they've milked that franchise much more than the number would indicate with prologue releases and GTPSP etc.
The fact of the matter is all ...
It's sad to see the quality of output from Platinum Games nosedive so sharply over recent years. They were on fire for a while, putting out superb action games such as Bayonetta, Vanquish & Metal Gear Rising but it seems that lately they've resorted to pumping out licensed shovelware. It must work well for them obviously and it's understandable that times are tough for Japanese developers in general, but it's sad to see such great talent wasted. I think the only truly grea...
Yeah, most of the things listed were cut deliberately because they felt it wouldn't really work or would have interfered with the pace or tone of the game, making the cut content artistic choice as opposed to trimming the game down to hit the release date.
I think it's a shame that they had to cut the snowball mechanic, however. It's such a small thing but seeing Nate & Sam being playful like that would have been a nice moment, I think. Little things like th...
Yeah, it seems strange since Insomniac have already put out two well-regarded exclusive games during this console generation while there's plenty of development studios out there who haven't even released their first game for PS4/XB1 yet. If anything, I'd say that Insomniac Games have been one of the most impressive development studios of the past few years, since both Sunset Overdrive and Ratchet & Clank are great games.
There's no need to get so upset, TwoForce, they're only air balloons.
@TwoForce
I've never sent anyone death threats, you have me confused with someone else. I do remember you harassing me via private messages a lot however, and telling me to leave N4G because you were really angry about me being disappointed with the Uncharted 4 multiplayer beta or something. I think you have some personal issues that you should resolve rather than lashing out at members of the community.
I think you're right, TwoForce. By my count there are eleven air balloons.
Yup. One has air balloons, but the other one doesn't.
Nice surprise for Xbox owners if true. I think the interesting thing to take away from this however is that if Rockstar is willing to give Red Dead Redemption away on XBL, it could be another sign pointing towards an upcoming announcement of a new Red Dead game. Seems to be pretty good timing, remind people of how great RDR is and then announce a sequel at E3.
Weird to see the price drop so soon after launch.
I'd like to know how they're going to launch the game in six months if it's only 50% complete.
New Burnout and SSX games would be really exciting, even though both IPs are pretty much dead at this point.
"Polyphony has never let us down before"
I'd disagree with that on account of how GT5 & GT6 turned out, and there's a hell of a lot of people over on GTPlanet who'd say the exact same thing. Polyphony Digital have let the fans down many times over the past decade.
As for Pumblechook, were you still spouting that absurd conspiracy theory of yours back when David Scamell was singing praise for Driveclub at a time when most other re...
Really nice to see them favoring quality over quantity this time round, hopefully this entry can recapture the magic of GT3 with the smaller scale and tighter focus. Right now my only concerns are with all the screentearing in the capture footage and how rough the Nordschleife is looking, but they've got roughly seven months to fix that stuff and hopefully come out with a locked 60fps this time. Will be nice to see this series get back on track.
Yup. Where's the co-op story missions? Where's the co-op arena modes? Where's a bunch of past multiplayer modes? Where's all the fun characters? Where's the dynamic map features? The list goes on and on, there's so much missing from the multiplayer this time round and considering all the delays you'd expect something more than a tacked-on barebones multiplayer experience.
On the subject of lacking content, only launching with a measly 8 multiplay...
Right, but my whole point is why are people so upset about this that they're going to such great lengths to get an unfavorable review removed? I thought that everyone stopped caring about Metacritic years ago and yet here we are with people having mental breakdowns because someone doesn't like their favorite game. It just loops back round to my original point that people really don't want reviews at all, they want advertisements instead. People will mentally assign a score to a ga...
Everybody is so hung up on whether the review was satire or not but I'm trying to figure out whether the petition itself is satire. Surely there really aren't that many pathetic fanboys that are so upset by a negative review for a game that they're actually petitioning Metacritic to remove it? We're through the looking glass here, people.
Just goes to show that for the more extreme fans out there, reviews only serve the purpose of validating their own opinio...
I disagree with you about the combat because I think the encounter design in UC4 is the best in the franchise so far. They really embraced the open sandbox-y design of presenting a large combat arena with a variety of ways to tackle it, and the improvements to the stealth mechanics along with much more competent AI companions and the grappling hook have made the combat scenarios the most enjoyable and versatile that ND have ever crafted. I think that's probably why people liked the Halo g...
How can someone be a known Xbox fanboy when they don't even own an Xbox? It sounds like you're too childish to handle people criticizing a video game on the internet. As for the dislikes, that's nothing unusual considering where we are. You could get a whole bunch of people to disagree that water is wet if they felt that it was somehow offensive to the PS4.
