"After the gaming community embracing Keanu Reeves, we were expecting the first mod based on the actor to be for CD Projekt RED’s The Witcher 3". The Matrix mods for Max Payne? Or for Half-Life? or any other big PC shooter of the time?
"but it certainly looks as good as his past work" as good as Diakatana? in all seriousness though this looks awesome and totally up my alley
Very deceptive
"“We do agree with the ...Australian gambling commission ...that they aren’t gambling" To start this blatant bullshit there is no one national "Australian gambling commission" but if anyone want's to read what a recent national gambling committee report into "Gaming micro-transactions for chance-based items" thinks about it:
"many loot boxes meet the five established psychological criteria for gambling, and as such, players may be at r...
So... did anyone click the link to this story where it tells you specifically that it will be "dynamic 720p" (up to 720p) and the handheld maxes at 540p (quoted directly from the Witcher 3 twitter)
Dunno about Perfect Dark Zero on that list. I didn't mind it, it impressed me to some extent at the time, but "the true soul successor" to Golden Eye? Obviously that's gotta be the original Perfect Dark (which was also on the 360). And the spiritual successors to that would have to be the Timesplitters games. Perfect Dark Zero had a huge let-down of a multiplayer mode and a fair let down of a singleplayer too. Kameo was under-appreciated though as far as Rare Xbox games go. ...
Don't get your hopes up, given they're only bothering with the first 3 levels or something
I bought an Xbox One X and Morrowind was the game I ended up playing more than any other game. It's aged fine. It's as clunky and ugly as it always was on Xbox but now it runs like a dream at a high resolution instead of 10 fps. I have played it on PC with the amazing complete overhaul mods but I still have ended up trading all that for a proper Xbox controller control scheme. Something about just lying back on the couch with a controller playing this is just so relaxing.
They're trying to get a strategic advantage by undercutting the competition. It's good for the consumer but you're naive to think it's "just looking out for the customers".
It's not a spiritual successor to Doom, it's a WAD file FOR Doom (basically just a level pack).
@OtterX The main WiFi issue isn't speed though, it's reliability. I'm not going to say gaming isn't possible or even acceptable with WiFi, but wired is certain. Ethernet is totally still the way to go even if you've only got 100Mbps I reckon. That's certainly my experience with every router I've ever owned anyway. I'm willing to accept the possibility that if I had one of those super exy routers things might be different, but as it stands wired, which I already...
You made it through that entire review only to get triggered by "white dude" in the very last paragraph and now you're framing it like the whole review hinges on being sick of white males. And even then you have to cut off the whole of the sentence to help to take it out of it's original context:
"It is exhausting to watch another gruff white dude experience the extremes of humanity brought about by disaster, to be torn between pure, reliable self-int...
ShadowWolf712. Okay, that makes more sense to me. My issue with your OP was what seemed to be framing Lovecraft stories to have the villainous figures " almost exclusively" be "Native American, Black, or various other nonwhite races" whereas from where I see it it's these ancient evils that are the main villainous figures and that, at best, any humans (black, white or otherwise) are merely lackeys corrupted by said evils, some more corruptible or more inherently evil. ...
All I can say is earlier on when the games seemed to be closer to classic puzzle based adventure games I was excited about new Telltale games. I enjoyed Homestar Runner, Sam and Max and Back to the Future. As they gradually got watered down into choose-your-own-adventure games with quick-time events my excitement was lost. I realise that perhaps I'm in the minority here as an old school adventure game fan and I can see the appeal to some; the casual story telling stuff that you have limit...
"The fact that his villainous figures were almost exclusively Native American, Black, or various other nonwhite races is also a pretty large indicator." - Someone who clearly hasn't read much Lovecraft
What world were you living in? Here on Earth Sony absolutely did directly compete with Sega and Nintendo. Sega especially had it's market share eaten alive by Sony, both the Saturn and the Dreamcast probably would have done quite well (or at least survived) if not for the direct competition from the PS1 and PS2.
@naruga. Apparently the lead designer (and in a lot of cases also a programmer) behind Populous, Syndicate, Theme Park, Dungeon Keeper, Black and White, Fable and bunches more was "a man that had NO relation with games" and "never managed to create somthing good". Just because you're clearly too young to remember all these phenomenal franchises behind his name doesn't mean they don't exist.
News to me. When did they remaster Resident Evil 2? I know they did 1 properly for the Gamecube then subsequent touch-up versions of that again for later consoles. I don't remember a Resident Evil 2 remaster though, just ports.
How on earth are you playing with that shocking framerate? What am I looking for? The 1060 one seems way smoother and is also uploaded in 1080p60 whereas the 2070 is a choppy blurry mess that's only up at 720p30 (as of me writing this). Is there something completely broken on Fallout4 with the 2070 cards or is this just a really bad comparison?
Because as we saw back with the PS3 he can bullshit to the moon and back and do it with a convincing certainty. he didn't create the bullshit, it's just his job to sell it.
