@WeAreLegion late response but cool! I didn't know another version existed, thanks! I've got Java edition too so I'll give it a go. Looks like it supports basically every VR platform on SteamVR too.
No way. It was probably the most creative they ever got with Zelda. Too imaginative if anything, getting stuck in the apocalyptic Groundhog Day in the Zelda universe maybe went too far out of most peoples gameplay comfort zones, and I have to admit there's a certain despair I got at trying to get a bunch of things done right in the world only to have it reset on you over and over.
I reckon's it's probably the second worst. That second one for Wii that forced you to use the motion controllers for everything was horrible, but mostly because of the controls. But then at least it was still a Zelda game instead of another one of those boring Ubisoft sandbox games with a Zelda skin
Doesn't help that he's exclusively using screenshots from the other versions either. The DOF effect on the characters, the additional foliage, higher texture resolutions etc
I love Minecraft and have it in VR on PC but I've got to say, beyond just having a bit of a gander at your world it's definitely not THE way to play it. Too inefficient and too jarring moving around quickly if you're moving around a lot.
Just here to agree. What a game.
"There is some fidelity stuff that we can go in maybe and do and then take advantage of, there could be also some ray tracing opportunities that could be fun to play around with. But being a co-op multiplayer game where we want players to play together on and have the same experience, it's a little hard to take advantage."
Pretty honest and self explanatory. you can't change the level design to take advantage of a faster SSD or the gameplay to include more complicat...
"The fact that MS’ closest competitor Was the Wii U is hilarious lol I don’t think most would want that mentioned."
well yeah, because it's not true. Wii U sold under 14 million in it's entire lifetime, Xbox One has been estimated to have sold around 47 million by the second quarter of 2019. Switch had officially sold 52 as of the end of December 2019. I'd say that makes the Switch the closest competitor don't you?
Great game. I dunno if kart racing is the right term for it though. I'd put it more in the anti-grav racing category with WipeOut/F-Zero/Extreme G etc.
The Thing is also quite Alien-y though
Shout out who's got a 4K monitor that supports 4K, HDR AND 240fps at the same time? *crickets*
Grim Fandango is one of my favourite games of all time, but I don't think it needs a sequel. Or at least if it ever happens, let Manny keep his well earned end and make it about some other inhabitants.
The video is worthless. outputted at 1080p tops (yes, even when set it to 4k) with terrible compression that makes even standard youtube compression look good. No comparison screenshots either. Think I'll wait for Digital Foundry
While I agree, I think besides the general first person perspective combat The Outer Worlds is way more like Knights of the Old Republic 2 than New Vegas. Obviously the feel of the combat goes a long way to making it feel like a Fallout game though. But the structure of the worlds and the missions, the perk levelling system, the companion quests, influence, having a party for combat, and the general companion banter just feel so much like KoTOR2 to me, which did a fantastic job of much the sa...
You got some seriously rose-tinted glasses on if you think this looks like a game on PS3. Although I guess back then there would have been some analogue of you saying the same shit about Fallout 3 looking like a PS2 game.
Classic N4G storm in a teacup
"Anyway that to me is irrelevant because lack of funds or set release dates don't explain this https://www.youtube.com/wat... and let's just leave at that because there are more examples. You don't need to be good at PR to know that you're showing fake gameplay footage on the biggest gaming convention in the world. You don't need to be good at PR to know that you're misleading the people that you're...
God, some of you are so bloody toxic. I thought it was a joke when it came out, but it's pretty amazing now. Yes he fucked up, promising a lot more than they could deliver. He did a Peter Molyneux. He reached for the skies with ideas that he probably thought they could squeeze into the game by launch but the realties of game development meant most of what was meant to be in the game didn't make the cut. They made demo material that they couldn't deliver on. It was a mix of marketi...
What a load. I love adventure games with good stories but I got Heavy Rain for free and still felt ripped off. Like that game has anything on any proper adventure game. If your focus is on everything OTHER than the "interactive", the "narrative driven", the "adventure" or the "game" parts of these interactive narrative driven "adventure" games then sure, I guess they're alright. But the stories, characters and gameplay loops are TERRIBLE. ...
I mean, it IS merged with Game pass. you get game pass you get games with gold.
