I don't have an issue. I mean no disrespect. It just seems odd to me that's the angle they went with. To me it seems like being the voice actor for essentially the main female lead in a very successful video game series seems like a bigger deal. But yeah, I guess Overwatch is a big deal too, and apparently a bigger deal going off my disagrees.
Maybe I'm just old, but I'd have thought being the voice actor for Cortana in the Halo games would have been the headline. Seems like a more noteworthy role.
It's none of those exactly. It's not definitely not that less talented people choose Unity, it's that less talented people get worse results in Unity. The engines seem to have a different philosophy. I'd argue that Unity requires more work to get to the level of fidelity that, say, the Unreal engine tries to pack in by default. Unity is super flexible and can be pretty lightweight, and you can do just about anything with it. Although this is changing in newer builds, for years...
You need the pro licence anyway if you make enough money off game development. If you don't make enough and still need to publish to Xbox then it'll be $150 a month and you won't necessarily need another pro licence for that or third second seat unless you desperately need all seats to be able to output to Xbox (you can all work on the same project and run your test builds locally on PC still). I'd hazard a guess that any team big enough to warrant a few seats that all need to...
There have been consumer drives fast enough for about 2 years guys. Since before the PS5 launched there have been plenty of gen 4 drives fast enough. You all seem to keep parroting that this is some cutting edge tech and it's simply not true. Since the Ryzen 3000 series.
Skyward Sword HD Is A Reminder Of How Much The Series Was Moving In The Wrong Direction And Needed To Go Back
N4G is peak gaming toxicity to be fair. It's total classic N4G that this non-news non-issue has become the highest trending news item. Gamers be jumpin' at SJW shadows cast by a harmless teen-rated platformer getting an accessibility option, neurotically afraid that somehow it's part of a slippery slope that leads to their imaginary Dark Souls trophies being taken away from them.
There are already plenty of SSDs that saturate the bandwidth of Gen 4 NVMe (ie they can not possibly go any faster). If you want any faster than that then you'll need better hardware than a PS5 because that's the top speed it can technically support.
@Babadook7
It's not impressive because even though the result is nearly the same the PS5 didn't do anything in this case except run the PS4 Pro version with better performance (as you would expect). Whereas the Xbox version takes a 30fps version of the game (the only version ever to be released on xbox) and up it to 60fps.
Something wrong with your setup if 60fps if it has horrible lag and slow setup. The difference between 60fps and 240fps is about 12ms and with human reflexes sitting around the 100-200ms range, not saying that 12ms is not noticeable, but it's shouldn't be horrible. Maybe that cheap monitor of yours is letting you down, you should consider upgrading that to something better, but then with a 3070 probably don't have too much room to move up. Maybe you should have gone with spending ...
Noticeable but diminishing returns for sure. Especially when you're talking about it making a difference to gameplay. Cutting 8.3ms off the latency is def not as big of a deal as cutting 16.7ms off the latency. like I can definitely notice a difference playing at 120/144Hz on my gaming monitor to 60Hz but wouldn't call it a game changer like going from 30fps to 60fps is (although it's a slight competitive edge online and every little bit means something there). In single player ga...
Very cool, especially if they have managed to decrease the insane CPU hit (and distribute the load more evenly) without losing any tangible detail or physics calculations.
"doesn't want to invest"
but also:
"throw endless money at the problem."
...what do you call throwing money at a problem to solve it? Is that not investing? Or do you think they're doing it for fun like with a stripper or something?

Driving: yes. Flight Sim: no. Hell, it's not ideal but you can get away with a slideshow in MS flight Sim. 30fps is totally fine.
Don't think it's the 4K that's the issue. this game is CPU intensive as hell. It's nearly impossible to get this game at a solid 60fps on a PC let alone a console. 30fps is def a nice safe goal. And yeah you can really get away with a pretty low frame rate for a game like this.
@KingofBandits Agreed. I've got loads of great OG Xbox games I'd love to see BC for for One X/Series S/X. If they could even get the support list back up to the kind of numbers that the 360 supported that'd be great. As it stands the number is depressingly low. I'd personally love to see Rallisport Challenge 2 and Burnout 3 supported, and yeah DOA would be great too.
seems legit
"Come on. This person is clearly just pointing out that this person who was killed in fact had a bigger achievement during life and was probably heard and appreciated for her talents by even more people than what this headline suggests."
Yep that's bang on. With admittedly better wording than I have used.
