Cboat is as reliable as Pachter, but gets nowhere near as much heat when he's wrong.
Greatness and importance are not synonyms.
You know what was cool? When the game was summarily dismissed by both Xbox and PS fans alike as being a cash-grab and not worthy of full-priced game status.
Now it's just more fuel for the fanboy war.
Making Shenmue an exclusive to either system would be foolish - the game isn't a sales giant (despite the fact that seemingly everyone on the internet has played it) and they would need all of the money they could get if their budget on the game is anywhere as ridiculous as it was on the first two.
Penello really needs to stop - every time he opens his mouth or types something, he gets jumped on repeatedly by the internet (most of those times, deservingly). His statements typically come off as "we have X, but I have no proof of this other than stuff that I don't understand or numbers that are misleading."
And this is coming from a Xbox supporter.
@Lukas
MisterX.... Really? He was exposed years ago as a hack who fabricates "insider" information and forum posts. No sensible person takes him seriously.
My point was that Sony fans are the ones who constantly bring up the power differential. I've yet to see people who bought an X1 complaining about their experience being ruined in COD because it renders in 720p or BF4 @ 900p. But I've seen no shortage of Sony fans ballyhooing those differ...
@Lukas
The only people continually harping about the power differential are Sony fans. Most people who have an Xbox One seem to be content playing it and enjoying it rather than worrying about Playstation. Wish the same could be said vice versa.
Gamers don't care about architecture - they care about games. Whether or not you personally like them or find them superior or inferior to those available elsewhere is irrelevant.
@MightyNoX
"Abandoning Core gamers is fine and all, long as you're honest about it."
Xbox One had a very good launch lineup and has a lot of potentially good games releasing in the next year.
The "not a gaming machine" "argument" needs to die in a fire.
As much as I loved TLOU, Uncharted 2 is still my favorite game of the generation.
Private alphas aren't for PR - they're to make sure that the game works in the wild.
It will work as well as Playstation Now.
Keep trolling.
For real... I guess that it's better than the Crocodile Dundee of gaming?
All three should be:
FIX THE DAMNED PARTY SYSTEM
The title sounds like a Fall Out Boy song.
The FPS display ability is arguably more important than the resolution. The only thing is that you need twice as many frames - 60FPS for 30FPS 3D and 120FPS for 60FPS 3D.
@dedicatedtogamers
My point, which you quite obviously missed, is that holding a grudge over Almost-DRM is the same as holding a grudge over the PSN hack. And let's be real - the only people still harping on about the DRM fiasco are people who never planned on getting an Xbox One in the first place.
MAG didn't suck, but it did prove that the number of players and the quality of a game are not directly proportionate.
@jessupj
Do you remember the PSN hack and Sony's terrible response to it as vividly as you remember something that almost happened?
First thought that popped into my mind, TripC50 :)
