At the end of the day they want to make money and if making it easier sells more then thats business.
30 second load time don't bother me one bit they give me time to scull another drink and load another choc chip cookie in the gob for the next round.
It introduced gaming to a whole new market place as in the casual gamer of whom some may realize what they have been missing and go hardcore and move up to the next level this gen or maybe next.
To this day I still believe Halo 3 could have been more but Microsoft put the screws on hard and forced Bungie to release it to early as this was the same period it was becoming obvious the 360 Hardware had massive problems and this over hyped game was a distraction to take some heat off for a brief period, but it had potential to be so much more on a machine capable of so much more but looked like an Xbox original game and why did so many compare it to halo 2 because it wasn't up to standard...
cant speak for all EB stores but the ones I deal with let you pre order and on the day u pickup they will price match with anyone.
So no big deal what they charge cause in the end I pay the same as the cheapest competitor and still get what ever bonus.
PS2 probally out sell the 3rd dud box too.
Still play PS2 when missus kicks me out of the living room where the PS3 takes pride of place and even fire up the original grey ps1 time to time and have a bash.
Xbox 360 actually making it to 4 would be worthy of a party since none of mine made it past 12 months.
Come on Microsoft just keep manufacturing enough replacement 360's for the holiday season and let Sony worry about themselves.

Word of advice for Microsoft Please for your own sakes don't start to build your own Blu Ray players just order a ton of superior build quality from Sony as your going to be paying them royalties anyway. :)

I'm Aussie and don't live in one of the Major Capitals but have ADSL2+ speeds no problems with lag and well after a few hipcups with the 360 now have a PS3 with dedicated servers not far of shore and import games like there's no tommorow.
Gota love region free and with so called experts forcasting the Aussie dollar may get equal or go as high as $1.10 US then SHIIT this is the boom time for us Aussies so start saving and game on. ...

Well last time I checked the rating system was under review down here.
Must admit one thing they did many many years ago was to make it so video stores had to place R rated movies on top shelves out of reach of kiddies fingers and sight was a reasonable measure.
Same could be done in video game stores have them stored on top of high shelving space and in those plastic security cases.

Maybe Microsoft should stop blowing millions on DLC and pay Sony techs for some designing hardware lessons and whilst there learning they may actually work out the design flaws the 360 has and fix it.
