Microsoft can't justify selling such dodgy hardware at a high price even at it's current price it's still over priced for it's reputation is so well known Microsoft didn't drop the price to be competitive they HAD NO CHOICE!.
Well at least Sony don't force Home on to us and I find it pointless and waste of time.
Would it really be a shock to anyone if Microsoft pulled out of the console race to focus more on there more profitable investments.
Don't be surprised if shareholders have said enough is enough and torpedo any chance of a 3rd box.
Shareholders big and small are more than aware of the negative impact the 360 has had not only from there own financial point of view but also a consumers point of view.
I sure wont be in a hurry to buy another xbox cons...

WOW PS2 owned the original Xbox and now owning the 360.
Considering the variety of games genres on PS3 is vastly superior and cater to more broader audience means it's no surprise that PS3 owners aren't mindless zombies with nothing but a whole library of shooters.
Great if Spielberg and his mate Lucas didn't screw up the indiana jones franchise enough with that last load of crap now lets get Spielberg screw up a classic from the 80's.

As for Sony I love to have B/C but still got ole faithfull ps2 in standby mode when the urge hits.
Well eventually they will have to come clean with there shareholders and there may not be a next xbox if shareholders say enough is enough cause they see negative returns over and over again.
5.4 I remember EB games getting shafted over returned Xbox360's and you barely get $30 for trade in as they rather you flog it off on ebay than trade it.
SO one of our major game retailers basically has set a low trade price to make it not worth your time to pack it up and bring it in and who thought EB games were stupid.
From a business point of view there saving by encouraging you to sell it else where.
Blooody Heeellll why are so many people so hung up over what is and isn't a Halo Killer.
The PS3 and Playstation brand in general provides so much more variety in game genres than the xbox which every game is pretty much nothing but a brainless shooter with very few exceptions.
As for Halo killer they killed themselves IMO as Halo 3 had a ridicules high budget and it barely looks like anything beyond the capabilities of the first xbox.

Other big companies can take some lessons from Sony's approach instead of the easy way out by laying off people.
Sony is more than aware that when times start getting better it will cost them money and time to employ staff and train them.
Sony obviously values there investment in there staff and would rather retain them than loose them if possible.
Good on them for having the gonads to at least try.
Yep 3 replaced here and 4th was returned and money refunded.
