I jumped from XBL to PSN well over a year ago now and yes u will get lag sometimes but compared to XBL the PSN experience lag wise for me has been vastly superior.
I find the PSN network to be a more stable and reliable than XBL.
How many time has XBL gone down in the last 12 months?
Don't miss the voice chat one bit as well most of the time it was muted on XBL so wouldn't get a damn headache from the kids whining.
Xbox was probally more reliable than the 360 more like so hands up who had to have there power cords replaced on the original Xbox cause of fire hazard concerns.

If it wasn't for the RROD fiasco you can bet your last dollar the Xbox360 would still be the 1 year warranty it originally launched with.
Like it or not 3 year warranty is pure Damage Control on Microsofts part nothing more.

Love it cause like most people probally have had the odd case accidently damaged or cracked on them so this gives ya some spare cases.

Mate I've got fond memories after upgrading from the old faithful commodore vic-20 to the commodore-64 and loved those punch ups in the sandpit with spectrum and the amstrad gangs.
They were the true hardcore days not the hide behind a keyboard. ;)
