How many people on this site can even identify Putin? Chavez? Ahmadinejad?
There may be nothing more frightening right now than the rise of religious fundamentalism and theocratic governments.
Good job, Bungie.
Two reasons:
The better-quality 3rd-party Wii games (Zack and Wiki, No More Heroes, Rayman, RE: Umbrella Chronicles) receive little press and advertising;
Most of the rest of the 3rd-party lineup consists of worthless shovelware (Ninjabread Man, anyone?)
I own a Wii, but it's for the family, and is played two or three times a week. I have a 360 for my hardcore needs, and it is used daily.
I still play the original Quake about once a month. The graphics have aged quite a bit, but the gameplay's still solid.
If you haven't tried the older Quake games, there was an XP-compatible triple-pack containing Q1-3 released a couple of years ago.
5th system here, and yes, I have the proof. Were it not for a Best Buy replacement plan...
I plan on buying the next Xbox, whatever they call it. But I'm definitely going to wait until I'm sure it's reliable before I purchase it.
You'll get a few, to be sure. Topics like this tend to attract N4G's "random disagree monster."
PS3s break too, but so far they've proven to be more reliable than the 360. One of my friends bought his at launch, and after about eight months of intense gaming (like you), it died. He had a replacement plan, so it wasn't a major inconvenience.
Things break...but if they're built correctly, they won't break very often.
The first thing MS should do ...
I can't speak for all Elites, but having been through four Pros before finally upgrading to an Elite, I can say that my Elite has already outlasted any of my prior Pro systems. (*crosses fingers*)
Everything wears out eventually. I have a handful of friends who are still on their launch systems, and other friends, like myself, who have been through multiple systems.
Sooner or later, those launch systems will wear out through either normal use, or as a result of the inherent design flaw in the early models.
The Falcons have not been out long enough to truly judge their long-term viability, but it certainly can't be any worse than their predecessors.

Yeah, it's a joke, but I'll bet someone at either Bungie or Traveller's Tales saw that and said, "hmmmm....not a bad idea."
Seriously, this might happen down the road. Probably not, but you never know.
As long as TT did it, I'd buy a Halo Lego game.
Great deal if you've got a player. Yes, the format's dead, but as long as your player lasts, you might as well enjoy some great movies in HD.
There's money to be made on a PS3 port, so I think it will happen...and I think it would sell...as long as they don't do a half-@ss port just for the sake of a few extra bucks. (That kind of mentality stinks no matter what game or system it is applied to).
Agreed. I think this is likely to stay PS3 exclusive; as one writer stated a few months ago, MGS4 may be one of the last of the major console exclusives. Blu-Ray capacity and Kojima's loyalty to Sony are the major reasons we'll probably never see this on the 360.
Not necessarily--Kojima, and the MGS series, are notorious for the use of cut-scenes. He may actually NEED 50+ GB, especially if he intends to go out with a bang on his final MGS game.
50GB isn't enough? Holy smoke.
Just how much space does he need?
I hate to say it, but if--HUGE if-this gets ported to the 360 later, it'll either need multiple discs, significant compression, or a friggin' load of DL content.
Makes one wonder what the next-gen will need in terms of storage, both disc-based and built-in.
That, folks, is a cool-looking system. LOVE that color.
Apples and oranges, folks. They're both good games, for different reasons.
Are they the best of their genres? That's certainly debatable, but they're definitely among the best action games ever made.
Most of the female gamers I've run into online are perfectly capable of taking care of themselves, be it with a quick verbal takedown of an overly flirtatious male, or by just using pwnage.
Hell, most of them acquit themselves pretty well with their gameplay.
It will take someone like him to save Atari. He's going to have his hands full...but he's got the ability to turn the company around.
I don't know whether to laugh or cry.
Not only does the ad say it, but it's also on the back of the pre-sell boxes.
So, if they're going to make a habit of this, why not do other bands and their favorite tracks, as well?
Rush?
Metallica?
Clapton?
Hendrix?
Just to name a few.
How about a G3 set, either as download or on a disc: Imagine Satriani, Vai, and Johnson tracks, all together...(Cliffs of Dover, Back to Shalla-Bal, and Answers would ...
