I don't see FFIX ever coming to XBLA...but the others may have a chance. Diablo would be a MUST-OWN for me. GREAT game!
That's the definition of "irony."
A few thoughts on these numbers...yes, we know that VG isn't perfectly accurate, but they're good for estimates.
--Good to see Patapon doing well. It isn't selling well at my store, despite me recommending it to anyone who'll listen. Apparently, some people out there in America noticed it was a good game.
--Take out the Wii's bundled games (Wii Sports, Link's Crossbow Training, and Wii Play), and the 360 leads in software sales. Just a thought; not trying to flame. ...
I'm still going to use Firefox.
MS should offer something similar if they ever release a Blu-Ray drive for the 360.
Thanks for using my news tip, guys.
It's nice to see that MS, after losing billions on their gaming and entertainment division, has finally figured out how to make it profitable.
That keeps them competitive, and competition is good for gamers and for the industry.
Equally nice to see: The Wii has already equaled the total worldwide sales of the Gamecube. Wow.
I think you misunderstood me.
I'm not saying that the 360 currently has a lot of RPG competition; outside of Folklore and Oblivion, there's not a lot on the PS3, and really almost nothing on the Wii. 360 owners currently have Lost Odyssey, Eternal Sonata, Blue Dragon, and Oblivion, to name a few, though there's not a lot beyond that.
What I'm saying is that while the 360 has a great batch of upcoming RPGs, both Western and Japanese, the PS3 will have its fair share ...
Well, as someone else has already pointed out in this thread, both the PS3 and 360 are trying to diversify their gaming lineups beyond their usual array of expected games. PS3 is adding more shooters (Killzone 2, Resistance 2, for example), while MS is bringing more RPGs to the 360, something the original Xbox sorely lacked.
That will bring a greater diversity of gamers to both consoles.
The solid sales of Lost Odyssey (and, to a lesser extent, Blue Dragon) and the ...
"Free publicity." Good point. I'm sure that they don't complain about what is in essence free advertising.
The question is, however, what kind of publicity? Good or bad?
If I'm MS or Sony or Nintendo, do I really want some ranting, raving, immature little sociopath defending my console? What kind of image does that convey?
Just a thought from my end. Good point, though.
I wouldn't say "takes control." That sounds like there will be no competition--and there will be.
But "finally gives RPG-loving Xbox 360 owners a slew of great RPGs to play?"
Yeah, I'd say that.
Something for fanboys to think about:
Do you think that MS, Sony, and Nintendo really care about your irrational posts regarding the quality (or lack thereof) of their systems?
Do they pay you for making nasty, snide comments about someone else when they say something about a console you don't care for?
Do you own stock in those companies? No? Then why do you care if they do well or not? What, exactly, is in it for you?
Do you think that Bi...
Well, all one really needs is a good fanboy shield, which consists of:
--Rational thought,
--Coherent ideas,
--Intelligent discourse,
--And, of course, naked women.
Fanboys don't know what to do with any of those things.
Go over to the Open Zone...that's far more entertaining than this article.
Prototype and Dead Space are already on my must-buy-or-rent list, and Spore is my sole reason for upgrading my PC.
Brutal Legend looks like a blast.
No doubt in my mind that Custer's Revenge was grossly racist, but the rest?
I think someone has too much time on their hands...probably the same someone who found "racism" in Gears of War...

"Digital drug." Perfect description of the game. Definitely a must-have for Wii owners (myself included).
Perfect example of corporate-speak.
For a little amusement, take the article and replace every "Xbox 360" with "PS3" and see how it sounds. For that matter, use other words, like "Ford" or "Toshiba" or "Pepsi."
Corporations and politicians...and yes, cult leaders, if you think about it...are experts at this kind of stuff.
Best of luck, Phil. You're going to need it.
Of course, if anyone can turn Atari/Infogrames around, it's him.
Oh God...don't give them ideas. :)
It's that kind of thinking that limits the industry's growth.
