Not to bash the PS3, but to maybe shed some light on the launch, and to allow some comparison to the N. American launch.

Of note: Someone dumb enough to think he'll make some scratch on reselling PS3s on eBay? Two questions for him:

Have you been living in a cave for the past couple of months;

And, what have you been smoking?

Game still looks good.

Personally, I'd rather have Crimson Skies 2, but this will do. Especially when one considers the best aerial combat on the 360 consists of Blazing Angels (o.k.) and Over G Fighters (so-so).

Now, if a 360 compatible flight stick were to be released at the same time...

Three requests:

Cast a competent female lead. No stunt casting. Katee Sackhoff would
ROCK.

Screw attack.

Keep Uwe Boll way the hell away from this thing.

A LOT.

It's newfound multi-platform status means there are even more people interested in it...as if there wasn't a lot of interested folks before.

That would include me. I am happy to see this coming to my 360...and no, that's not a Sony bash. I'm just a happy 360 owner.

I tipped this but didn't get tips used credit.

Oh well. No big deal.

Oh yeah--the DS rocks. Yes, it's not as versatile as the PSP, but it definitely delivers the games. And it's extremely lucrative for Nintendo...so much so that another site jokes that it prints money.

Don't get me wrong: You won't catch me defending Sony's statements very often. (Sames with some of MS's talk).

But having systems on hand after pre-orders are filled means they've been able to meet at least part of the demand at launch, whereas N. America and Japan saw immediate (i.e., same day) shortages. That can only be good for them, at least short-term. But what happens after the launch systems are gone, and the hardcores/immediate adopters are satisfied, if the system exp...

--Excellent sci-fi based storyline. As good as some of the SF novels I've read.

--First-to-third person transition in vehicle mode. Nice touch.

--Yes, it recycles many elements from other shooters, but it does so with perfect controls and a definite sense of combat realism.

--Best online play for a pure shooter. Period. It started with Halo 1 (XBconnect, anyone?) and was perfected with Halo 2.

More than 2 years after the game's rele...

I was worried that I wouldn't be able to transfer my gamesaves and my hard-earned achievements to a new HD. Here's hoping this happens. Plus, it's good to see confirmation (unofficial, tho) of the HD being sold separately. Now, as long as it's reasonably priced ($100 for a 20 GB?!?!) people will snatch them up.

Wow. This has been a great week if you're a 360 gamer. Sony managed to generate some thunder at GDC, and then MS does their best to steal it back.

I'm not being fanboyish, I'm just happy to have a 360 right now. (Again, for the record, I wish I had Motorstorm and Lair for my 360. But I'm happy with my console choice.)

Out of all of their predictions, I see two possibilities:

MS will buy a major studio (Capcom, Mistwalker). There's a precedent for that.

FFXIII will be multi-platform. That's assuming, of course, that PS3 sales don't meet expectations. Otherwise, Sony keeps that particular exclusive.

The others range from "very unlikely" to "maybe" at best.

Especially when you consider that the 360 is getting an upgrade soon that will offer the same visual experience as the PS3. Just enjoy the GAME, folks.

...if you live in the US. MS needs to get this out to other territories, and FAST. Folks, take it from those of us living in the US: This service ROCKS. The only drawback right now is a (relative) lack of diverse content, but new items are added frequently. (They have Akira Kurosawa's "Dreams" available for download. That alone is worth noting for me).

The only other drawback? 360 owners will find themselves running out of HD space quickly. Hopefully the release of t...

At least the delays are mostly a month or so. Disappointing, but not fatal.

Other than some minor graphical hiccups, this looks great. Now, how good will the gameplay be? Dynasty Warriors/Ninety-Nine Nights, or something completely different?

6937d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

How about some new screenshots of these gorgeous graphics? Something to cool our insatiable demand for the game.

PLEASE!!!

MS potentially buying FASA? That actually sounds more reasonable.

Methinks a disgruntled (former) employee has a large axe to grind.

It's Guild Wars meets Gears of War and Dead Rising!

OK, we know it's more than that. But that was my first impression. Looks like it's coming along nicely.
