Will the 360 drive drop as well?
The Suffering (either one). Very gory and intense.
Dead Rising. Zombies + lawnmower = chunky kibble all over the place.
Wasn't much of a fan of Derelict, but Hang 'Em High was where I committed major pwnage. Me and my pistol. Maybe the BR will offer the same kind of experience.
Oh well. New maps are always welcome.
Me and my cattle prod are going to visit BioWare studios...see if we can't "spur things along a bit." :)
Seriously, tho, I can't wait. Between this and BioShock, the wait for Halo 3 won't seem so long.
I'm glad they dropped that Batarang design, but I wish they could have come up with something a little more innovative than a redesigned PS2 controller without rumble.
Maybe the rumored "redesigned" Sixaxis--in the wake of the Immersion settlement--will feature a different design.
That's exactly why I dropped PC gaming almost entirely, in favor of consoles. No, I'm not knocking PC games, but I'm now able to get the experience I want out of consoles.
It's ironic, tho: One of the knocks on PC games has been the constant update/patch process. Newer consoles are like small PCs; soooo....
Hopefully, this is an isolated incident.
I love my 360, love Xbox Live, and I think MS has done a great job with both first and third party development.
However, I work at a retail store that sells 360s, and I've seen more than a few returns/exchanges. Most of those were fortunate enough to get replacement plans and were covered by Best Buy.
I SERIOUSLY doubt that the failure rate is 59%. (Some of those replying could be PS3 fans with an axe to grind).
But it's higher than the 7% that MS...
Yes and no:
I have a two-year replacement plan from Best Buy. If my system craps out after April 29th, I'll replace it with the Elite and pay the difference.
Otherwise, no.
Check back in a month or two. Those numbers will give a MUCH better perspective on all three systems than the launch window.
Did the "early" adopters of PS2 find it offensive when the slimline came out? Built-in online connection (instead of a $40 adapter), required new multi-tap (unless you went third-party), vertical stand--all were major differences between the two SKUs.
I'm not picking on Sony or the PS2; it's a good example of the point I'm trying to make:
Adjustments during a console's life-cycle--sort of like computer upgrades--can be viewed two ways:
...
Analog to digital: Possible or not?
I'm pretty savvy with electronics and gaming, but I won't claim to know a great deal about the potential for an analog signal (component) being converted to a digital one (HDMI).
Non-fanboyish, flame-free responses--preferably with sources--would be appreciated.
I think we'll see something major at E3, such as a playable demo, and maybe Sony will also choose to offer a release date at that time.
But July seems awfully early, unless the game's MUCH further along than they've been hinting. Maybe so...could they be timing it for late summer/ early fall to steal some of Halo 3's thunder?
Who cares? It's a matter of SECONDS, not minutes or hours. Jeez, some of you should have seen the load times on a Commodore 64 or an Apple 2E. Now THAT was a wait.
This isn't news, it's flame-bait.
The UMDs that sell best at my store are the newer films that appeal to the 13-30 yr. old demograph. That's their primary audience, and they should address it with appropriate releases.
Also: Lower the price. No one want to pay $15-20 for a movie they already own on DVD. Make it $7-$10 and they'll sell. BUT:
Why not a download service? Sony's got a substantial catalogue of movies to offer--they should launch an iTunes-type service.
But more than I was expecting, too. One of my friends speculated $179; I countered with $129. That's a lot of space, and will certainly be necessary when IPTV launches later this year. Two requests for MS:
~This is an opportunity to offer bigger downloadable games through Live. 50 MB is nice, but imagine the potential if you up that to, say, 500 MB. That's hardly a dent in a 120 GB HD.
~Expand the number of movies and TV shows available for download, as HD space...
Not as good as WoW, but a worthwhile experience and an agreeable time-killer. Hopefully, they'll continue to keep the online portion free.
Though I have no idea which manager it is. Suffice it to say, he should be canned. For God's sake, that's not only unethical, it's IMMORAL.
Cross-platform pwnage would be awesome.
Imagine the potential rivalries between console owners.
Please make it happen.
Loosen up a bit and release a wireless guitar. Have Red Octane design it, and then build it yourself, thus keeping the wireless tech under wraps, so to speak.
Regardless, this game will ROCK (PUN FULLY INTENDED!)
Buy a 360. That'll solve the problem! :)
Hopefully, Nyko can fix this, and soon.
