Did he quit?
Or was he quietly "eased out?"
Whatever happened, it's Sony's loss, and they are poorer for it.
Perhaps it could be someone else's gain...?
Regardless, his record speaks for itself.
Agreed--hopefully, there's new content added later.
I think the various degrees of difficulty are for those who want a challenge, especially the Legendary one. A player may be able to unlock them all at once by playing through the game on Legendary the first time through. (Assuming it's like Gears, and you can get them all at once by beating it in the hardest mode).
I think the simplicity of the online achievements is on purpose--you might have some people boost...
Fair deal.
About what I expected.
Sorry. Must have overlooked it. Well, at least I know.
Isn't this supposed to come to the 360, as well?
I often try to be fair and equitable when posting, but this is just too ludicrous to let pass.
There is NO WAY the PSN is on a par with Xbox Live. NO WAY.
PERIOD.
Someday it might be capable of the Live experience, but saying that it's currently equal to Live is LAUGHABLE.
I've had one customer come in with a defective copy of "The Prestige." Looked like someone had spritzed the back of it with a clogged spray-paint can.
Might be an issue, might not.
Worst case--this not only affects BR movies, but PS3 games, as well. That would be a total disaster for Sony.
Never forget: $$$ talks.
I'll take that bet, and raise it: 160+
Nothing like good 'ol flamebait to get the forums fired up.
In the hands of the right devs, this could be good. Card's script for Advent Rising was the best thing about that game.
As I said before, it won't move systems, but it does help MS with one thing the 360 lacks: Gaming diversity. That's what helped PS2 win the last-gen.
We have better graphics these days, for certain, but do we have better games?
Eye candy will only take you so far. Quality games are immortal.
Got my hopes up. I was even looking forward to Kameo 2 (here's hoping it happens anyway).
No prob. Every forum has its rules, both written and not. I was just trying to make you aware of one, in a friendly way.
Cool?
That comment was unwarranted, immature, and insulting.
I don't care if you were kidding. It's NOT FUNNY.
Grow up.
If so, just a little friendly advice: The whole "first" thing is REALLY frowned upon here. Please bear that in mind when posting. This isn't AICN.
I wouldn't count the exclusiveness as a major coup for the 360 (such as MGS4 becoming 360-only, which ain't gonna happen). Katamari won't move consoles in North America. But in Japan...this may give MS a significant (if temporary) boost.
It will also help expand the diversity of the 360's game catalogue, adding a unique title with broad-audience appeal.
...but Bill Gates is absolutely right.
Disc-based media will endure, as people will often want a physical copy, but HD downloads are just a few years away. Imagine a set-top box that provides HD video on demand (for a small fee) and the ability to burn it to disc (for maybe another fee). Maybe BR or HD persists as the medium that the downloads get burned onto, but HVD--or something else--may supplant them both.
Why bother with another costly format war that mos...
Probably TOO concise, as it sums everything up with a few short blurbs:
PS3: No games, high price, so-so online service, but good, reliable hardware
Wii: For now, play it with the family, break it out when friends come over. Otherwise, the big games are a few months away
360: Best online play and catalogue of games, great games coming, but hardware reliability is suspect
Gamers already know these things, and really don't need much el...
BULLSH*T!

Sorry, but that statement is pure, unadulterated drivel.
MS needs to acknowledge the failure issues, address them, and make things right with their customers and fanbase. Nothing else is acceptable.
I can only speak as one employee at one retail store, but I see three or four defective 360s every week, sometimes as many as six or more.
I can count the TOTAL number of defective PS3s and Wiis I've seen on both hands.
