Pure pwnage.
An anti-Jack Thompson rep whose full-time job is to defend the company from him.
I'm not a fan of the GTA games, and as a parent I understand people's concerns about them, but Thompson is just a moralist busybody with WAY too much time on his hands. How about putting that time and effort into, say, ERADICATING HUNGER IN AMERICA?!? (A little more critical of an issue, methinks).
Pathetic that someone is so desperate for attention that they will resort to recycling old articles.
Why fake it? A real announcement may happen at some point. If you're Konami, and you've spent millions on a game for a system with a small user base, wouldn't you consider porting it to another system with a bigger user base to recoup your investment?
Let's assume that the PS3 continues to struggle (a real possibility, but not set in stone). Let's assume that MS ...
Got about 35 or 40...and I am stoked that they managed to work in a reference to Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath, one of the most underrated games of recent years.
Mountain Dew. Lots and lots of Mountain Dew.
Other "easy" achievement games:
Lego Star Wars II: I have 920 out of 1000...just too lazy to get those last four.
Any of the Burger King games, and most of the "kiddy" games; e.g., Cars, Open Season, Meet the Robinsons, etc. I think they left these off the list, as most gamers looking for an easy boost probably won't go for those.
Prey: 750 easy points. The rest are online, but if you're into boosting, those will be easy.
...that the game is finished, Bungie and MS, before you release it. Halo 2 was rushed (campaign mode) and needed a few more weeks of polishing, but MS insisted on the Nov. 9th release date. Even Bungie has admitted that.
My only concern about the September date is that it feels awfully close, and the beta proves that there's a lot still to finish.
Hopefully, it will be done, and done well, by 9/25.

Tom-a-to, to-mah-to.
Most people just recently adopted standard DVD. Most people do not have an HDTV. Most people don't care about HD and BR.
Get back to us in about two years.
Don't want it? Think it's a rip-off?
Don't download it!
Microtransactions are quickly becoming a way of life for console gamers. The best way to keep it from getting out of hand is for gamers to NOT buy the rip-offs that will inevitably make their way online. Horse armor? COG tag videos? Don't buy them, and eventually, companies will stop offering rip-offs, and focus more on quality content.
(And I have to agree: Aegis Wing is a BLAST. I would ha...

One's old school, the other's "next-gen." Both are fun to play. Isn't that what matters?
Perfect wheel to play Forza with.
I love my 360. Play it every day. But I'm on my 3rd system since October. Were it not for Best Buy replacement plans...I would have been through a lot of hassle with MS by now. Let's face it--most of their customer service stinks.
Extending the manufacturer's warranty helps, but I think MS needs to come clean, admit there's a problem, fix it, and work hard to win people back.
I like H3 better so far, even based on an incomplete beta. Gears matches have a tendency to bog down into "trench warfare" with players too often hiding under cover rather than jump out and attack. Weapon whoring is also a big problem, though that happens a lot in Halo. But Halo offers a better variety of weapons, making a counteroffensive easier.
And I have to say this: Gears' lack of a jump button is a MAJOR liability in multiplayer.
"Rumble is not necessary"
"HDMI is not necessary"
As with politicians, take ALL pronouncements from game companies with a BIG grain of salt.
The three of the four lead articles on this website are about "saving" the PS3.
Just an observation. I notice things like that. I'd also notice if the top articles were negative views of the 360.
I usually avoid flame-bait articles like this, but I have to comment:
If you are a developer, and System X has moved 10+ million units with a moderate slowdown in sales, and System Y has moved about 3 million and shows a large--nay, HUGE--downturn in sales, which would you choose if you were going to pick one? Which one will get you the better return on your development investment?
If PS3 sales continue to stagnate, expect at least a few of their exclusives to ju...
One man's opinion, which he is entitled to. However, there are a few million people who disagree with him. Besides, he "sucks at this game." Sour grapes, anyone? Pwned one too many times, and bitter about it?
"I'm just going to remind you how bad ass Half-life 2, COD 1 & 2, Far Cry, and F.E.A.R. were."
All good games--in the case of HL2, one of the best ever--but Halo, IMHO, has the best mix of gameplay, graphics, story, and multiplayer.

So I'll get it later rather than sooner for my 360...as long as I get it, I can wait a little longer.
The system has sold nearly 6 million in just six months, which translates to 12 million for the year, or 70+ million by the end of 2012. Even assuming a gradual slowdown over time (as all systems do), 35 million seems a little low. Maybe they're setting the bar low so they can say they exceeded it by X amount in X time. That looks good to investors, for certain.
Well, count me in. I'm buying one later this year. Nice companion to my 360.
Isn't it already a grill? :)
