Um....what exactly would you call Red Dead Redemption and GTA?
To be fair, the leak isn't on this site. Its just reporting that there is a leak. But at the same time, all the big gaming sites reporting that there is a leak is doing nothing but creating awareness. Now every site online has reported it and there are tons of Youtube videos talking about it.
I really have to wonder how many people would really know there was a leak if every website just decided not to feed it.
It doesn't fit the narrative at all lol. How do characters talking about the cops being useless and crime running rampant translate to cops opening fire on you for idiotic things, like rear ending a car? How does that translate to cops spawning behind you in an enclosed room and opening fire?
Hell, eveN GTA3 had a better system. Police didn't just spawn in behind you if you were on the rooftop of a parking garage or something. They had to drive up to the building you were on top of then drive up the ramps in the parking garage to get to you. GTA3 came out how long ago? 17 years ago or something like that?

It doesn't really ruin the chances of legacy characters returning. RE is known for going a game or several without having any idea whatsoever where other characters are or what they are doing. Jill, Chris, Leon, Claire....they've all skipped games before. I believe they've all skipped 2 games in a row, even.

Why? The game testers aren't the ones that decided to release the game the way it was. The game testers probably told them all about the issues.

There's a big difference between adding content and fixing a ton of bugs, visuals, and framerate drops. No Man's Sky didn't really have any of those issues. People were just mad because tons of content was missing.
No Man's Sky just added content. It wasn't a buggy, nearly unplayable mess at launch.
Everyone knows older hardware will never look or run as smooth as new hardware. What people COULDN'T know is that it would look and run like complete garbage on the base consoles.
People have said it plenty already. Red Dead Redemption 2, Ghost of Tsushima, TLoU 2, hell...even Horizon Zero Dawn.....these are all incredible games that look beautiful and run wonderfully even base consoles.
So why on earth would anyone expect Cyberpunk to be in this bad ...
To be fair, Bad Robot didn't make 10 Cloverfield Lane. They bought a film called The Cellar that was already 100% complete, added aliens at the end, changed a couple scenes that showed a different cause for not going to the surface, and added a few super-obscure Cloverfield references and called it a day. I give zero credit to Bad Robot for how good 10CL was.
Cloverfield, on the other hand, was a great movie and that was all Bad Robot.
Its not Andromeda. We see a destroyed Mass Relay in the trailer. They didn't have those in Andromeda.
I agree with pretty much everything you said, but come on. PS5 will 100% have a slim version.
Every PS console since PS2 has had a slim version. PS4 Pro doesn't because its also a different version of the main PS4. Not to mention, if they were going to make a PS4 Pro Slim, it would likely be coming out around now. But there's no reason to since the PS5 is here.

You wouldn't combine the Wii and DS sales to compare to the Switch lol. Wii and DS are different systems. You would compare them both individually to the Switch, whereas, with other consoles you wouldn't really compare the DS at all because its a different type of system. The Switch is both a console and handheld, so both would compared, but individually.
