Winter of Arcade is coming. ;)

Hey, Jawes. I didn't mean for that to be direct feedback to the article when typing that (as I didn't read it at the time). I just saw the CliffyB quote and that made me want to step on my soapbox in regards to how under-discussed those MP launch issues tend to be. Pre-update, it was the most troublesome I've had with a Xbox exclusive until Halo: MCC took the cake.

Having seen this comment, I do appreciate you guys being thorough in remembering GoW2's b...

"Bigger, better, more badass."

I'm not sure about the "better" ESPECIALLY in respects to the inconsistent competitive online. People seem to have a fuzzy memory about how bad that aspect was back then. I would've dropped it entirely were it not for me picking up a used copy ~2 weeks before the Snowblind Map Pack released (along with solid update for online issues). This should also be a reunion of critics turning a blind eye to fundamental fla...

Thanks for stopping by. Yeah, that's something I've heard from others as well. It's made me a bit apprehensive to jump on it (although Halloween would've been a great time to do so). Maybe I'll get a chance during Thanksgiving break.

EDIT: Okay, since I keep getting a broken link error when posting a link, I'm going to leave a link to my Outlast (main game) review here:

https://n4g.com/channel/out...

Just for context to get a fuller grasp of what I appreciate in Outlast's horror design.

Someone name-dropped that in my chat party when watching XO18 too! Never got around to playing that, sadly.

"they've always picked and choose without any real merit behind the decision"

That's simply incorrect. N4G has a pretty good filtering system in respect to rumors, which used to be rampant on here (EDIT: see below).

Hope everyone enjoyed the review. Please feel free to comment down below here.

So...this was literally my "Spooktober Review #1 (out of 4)" I had planned for Halloween time. So, that plan was blown to smithereens. :(

It's especially disappointing b/c I wanted to squeeze this out while XBL's Halloween sale of Outlast: Bundle of Terror was still ongoing. Anyways, I'm hopeful to see a Black Friday/Cyber Monday sale on it in the fu...

Damn. They really need Overkill's The Walking Dead to be a big success.

Wow! Can't believe we're already to the tail-end of October. I kid you not, I had several horror game reviews in the backburner I wanted to release on a weekly basis for this month too. Even though that plan has gone south, I can try to cram in a couple for Halloween. :D

Ah...okay. I have a better understanding now. I know this communication thread has been annoying and I apologize for that. It's like right after submitting this my work week left my brain partially jumbled.

-"So, in this case, maybe it's good that the government decided to look into it, but also good that they didn't find any reason to assert any control over it."

This whole portion is an interesting angle to consider. As thoug...

-I think there's a miscommunication when it comes to this "but why?" portion we're launching with. Correct me if I'm wrong here too. For me: the hidden vein of how you started that came off as suggesting "why bother?" Not in any sneering way; more with the notion that it's out of our hands now. Tying this into the 2nd quoted part now, well let's try a different example: games relation with "art" especially during the Jack Thompson era (gran...

-But why? Sure, I see the 1:1 of the rulemakers making such determinations of what is/isn't "gambling," but the way we got here is modern parlance blurring that legal line of something psychologically similar to gambling and actual gambling as defined.

-"We, as a community, or as an individual, can decide how we feel about it on our own terms, and it really won't have much effect on the reality of what they are."

But that...

Well...I can follow that line of logic to a point. I guess the thing that gets me is trying to meet someone halfway; in this case, Qt3's template is just "Hey! I focus on rating games like one would on Netflix's scoring system. Just like technically-sound movies are capable of being hated so too can that apply to games." When you walk into those reviews understanding that, the 1/5 or 2/5 complaints just don't register with me anymore.

I know that ...

Hey! Hope everyone enjoyed the blog. Feel free to comment down below.

So...similar to my last blog (cross-play) I'm not going to disregard the questionable timing with which I completed a rough draft of this and some publisher (maybe 2K?) calling for gamers to demand Belguim rescind their loot-box law. Sure, that's pretty cringy stuff and I'm not ignorant of the optics. With that said, hopefully we can focus on the points raised and not bring up any smarmy...

I appreciate the compliment and insight of my reviews. And, while I understand you're not actively trying to defend me without knowing all the details, I also appreciate it. In respect to CarlDechance's "first to defend the site" accusation, I'd say he's correct in personifying it in that way (though the logic to saying that equals a "relationship" is tenuous at best). It's easier for people to fathom a conspiracy of me secretly being a reviewer they...

Well...went over as well as I could expect.

@81BX

Alright then? I feel like there's teasing going on here but I can't say for sure. :P

@CarlDehance

"You obviously have a relationship with q23 as you have been posting their crap since they first began back in 2015."

1.) You're wrong on the timeline of when Qt3 started, by about SEVEN years. 2799d ago 0 agree3 disagreeView comment

-So...I guess I obligated to chime in on this. The answer: I'm not Tom Chick, nor am I a part of Qt3 in any other capacity than as a user/lurker. And to bring even further disclosure on this: I've yet to contribute any written material outside of the user-designated section on any gaming website (N4G and vgchartz is where I frequent). The only times I've made a site-specific equivalent of a 'paid review' was on here for Night of the Rabbit and Sword of the Stars: The Pi...

No, that just means it was approved an hour ago (from when you typed that out). Original article is a little over a week old (didn't get approvals until later).
