You mean to tell me an infiltrator has snuck into our ranks?!?! I'll have to launch a full-scale investigation of this at once!
You're literally responding to a comment with "fanboy" in the comment that wasn't marked. Stop pretending the use of that term is what netted you a comment restriction.
It's just the nature of genre cycles. A couple of strong ignitors like The Elder Scrolls and Witcher series can inspire dozens of other studios to try their hand at it too.
Played both. The Order is nowhere near as good as Hellblade.
-"I think a lot of the hate was from people who didn't even play it jumping on the bandwagon."
Can we please stop retreating back such tired defenses? It's had a heavily mixed reception ever since critics PLAYED the game back then, and justifiably so. Even trying to rope in "insecure PC players" just shows how shallow this view actually is.
That genuinely sucks (for Vegas 1).
I'll admit: I'm one of those people who still needs to get around to it.
Wish I was as brave as Turnip Boy.
I'm in a remarkably similar boat as you. The overriding nostalgia memory I get is "maybe it's worth finishing, but I want to go back to Banjo."
-"Second is people claiming it's satire when it's pretty much just random transphobic references and not actual attempts at having any form of thought or discussion on the topic."
More often than not, it's better to consider it's depiction a "parody" versus genuine "satire." But here's the thing: it's not like ANY minority or majority population is safe from simplistic jokes on GTA. You have white trailer trash jabs sp...
I know what you mean. The last big GaaS title to do that for me was Anthem.
Quite so. It's weird though b/c there *IS* potential it can blossom into... serviceable ARPG junk food. But I get the feeling Square & Platinum are just looking to fulfill their end of the bargain (3 season I think) and then bailing.
Although I was personally content with the basic camera options, most of these critiques sound fair. I'd push back on Menu races being easy once muscle cars came into the mix though. When you're within the suggested PP rating on Hard, tension bumps up between the 2nd, 3rd, & 4th place imo.
I suggest you copy/paste your comment here and send to Polyphony's email. I think they'd love feedback like this.
So, what ought to be the proper response in your opinion? Because I *AGREE* that loyalists completely disregarding it is wrong. Although I wouldn't equate GT7's mtx "temptation level" to Deux Ex: Mankind Divided (probably the most useless mtx currency packs of all time/don't disrupt gameplay at all), it's not overriding the core experience. It's still annoying to see - especially in a E-rated game.
What's the proper response for a critic...
Noticing the *thunk-thunk* matching the extra few inches in those gaps was an incredible sensation.
The Tiny Tina's Wonderlands 5/10 score seems harsh, but credit to them recommending Patrick's Parabox. That looks like a simple yet insanely fun puzzle game.
It goes either way. I think what stung Re-Reckoning (at least it did for me) was it being a minimal-effort remaster for $40. Fatesworn for $20? Sure, there's less base content, but seeing new effort put in makes that pill easier to swallow.
Shacknews Estimate Posted 1/25/22 - Ballpark of 12 Million
VGChartz Estimate Posted (Ending 3/27/22) - 13.66 Million
Considering quickly supply for both consoles gets eaten up, this doesn't read as a flagrant inflation.
Sure. The game design certainly isn't helpful in that respect, but there's something about how dour everything feels that wanted me to see it through.
@CD
-"Yep get what you're saying; it was a throw away comment aimed at the individuals, it was off-topic, but in my mind the others had taken the initial topic off the rails too."
But do you see the potential issue in doing that though? By going off topic in those garbage-heap comment sections, it's adding more to the pile.
The point being: using the term "fanboy" has never been an issue by itself. *HOW* th...
