UC2-There's nothing really good about U2's story once the pieces fall in place (just like the first one). It does have great animations, gfx, and online support by ND (even though it's not exactly a prolonging MP but still solid nonetheless). Having simple gameplay that hardly builds upon the original should be heralded? Sorry but gamers should demand more.

I'll definatly give him the ending one considering you can read how it all went down (right? correct me if I'm wrong). I don't understand the others to a certain extent. I personally enjoyed 3's gameplay over what I played in Reach, although I'm pretty sure I'm in the minority.

You should try out Rainbow Six: Vegas, it's 2nd to Orange Box for best retail FPS (arcade are coming in style too) this gen. Hate to go against the grain with you (since you seem to really like Vegas 2), but I found R6V2 to be one of the worst sequels this gen. It tried to blend so many ideas together that it lost a bit of soul in the process imo.

The general opinion wouldn't find MW2 overrated either, PC elites and the general internet would say otherwise. The fact that it does recieve so many awards CAN make it overrated, which in this case is the writer's opinion. You can't say a game isn't overrated by shoving awards at them. That completely decimates the idea of an opinion.
The writer didn't find the game to be worthy all those awards. Whoever does, needs some help imo (even though '09 was a weaker year w/ the exeption of PS3 exclusives).

The game succeeded in some many story-telling ways (like it was expected to).
and whatever you want to call them, there's an incentive for that certain console that has that certain "console exclusive" or whatever you want to call them. Same goes for those fixated on a certain brand (PS3/PSP games or Wii/DS games).

Let's looks at the standpoint to see if this holds much ground. Games said to use 100% by devs: Gears 1, Gears 2, Uncharted 2, and I believe EA mentioned something about MoH's power. I guess we'll never see a better looking PS3 game then Uncharted 2 as well then? Or do you just want to distort the dev's quote only when it fits your agenda?
I don't see why Tales of Ves. (have heard great things) isn't on there. It'd probably be between Tales/FFXIII/ and Lost Odyssey.
You bring a great point that I agree with but neither Modnation nor 3D Dot Game Heroes has more sales than Alan Wake, unless Modnation on PSP is doing fairly well.
