I have the same order ( 3>2>1 ). And I don't think I have that shiny new game feeling. I personally think this MP delivers one that feels like it delivers it's own custom nuances to the TPS genre; whereas UC2's MP only felt unique because of the gameplay the first was founded upon.
Everything besides MP and story were a major step-up in my opinion.
Homegrown terrorists, eh? I already have this feeling that there will be underlying messages about the Tea Party movement. It would be a pure genius play if so (although I disagree with it IF...it were to happen): That's controversy that will make you the major headline on Fox News.
No site ever states that their 10's mean they find the game to be perfect. Case in point: IGN's Uncharted 3 review.
No problem. If you can't find a way to move it over from this review, you can just copy/paste the review and submit it under the "Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception" channel. I'll be one of the five who'll accept it.
Director's Cut sounds like the most fitting title for this cinematic game. Should be purchased by anyone who's interested in a genre that's undersaturated.
Sorry, that question wasn't for you personally. After my first comma, it was more of a question for the community as a whole.
Linear: of, or relating to, a straight line
Although your post is sensible, Gears of War is, by definition, not linear.
"A split in paths in not variety"
Variety: the quality or condition of being various or varied; diversity. By defintion...it is. But of course, give me disagrees despite being right.
This shouldn't have been approved. Move it over to the title "Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception" where all of the reviews are going to be pooled.
It's not as if they plan this out ahead of time. Some smaller devs like to focus on 1 console at a time, see how sales pan out, and go from there. This is similar to the cycle of Bastion: develop for 360/PC initially (since the architecture is so similar), focus on possible DLC, and then present the possibility that it could go over to other arcade markets (PSN, WiiWare, etc.)
As sorry as I feel for you, why isn't this sort of sympathy-or empathy-displayed when n4g announces a XBL game heading over to PSN with extras, only to not include those extras on the original version? It's a if this will go back to MS being the bad guy even though these same rules have to be followed on PSN.
"harping on the negatives is just screaming for attention"
In order to "harp" on something negatively, it would have to be persistent. Pointing out their cons towards the end of a review is considered normal for any critic who had quibbles against certain aspects of a game, movie, etc.
That's the action genre though and a Mature, gory game. Leagues of difference when you consider the consumer's cravings for TPS' coupled with a Teen rating, cinematic moments, and jaw-dropping graphics.
Instead of making deplorable phrases like "have more balls", why not just say "possess more humility"?
"Uncharted is PS3's best exclusive franchise"
I personally find the inFamous series to be more consistent in quality, but I can certainly see why millions can agree to that [quote].
Over 1 millions in Americas alone is my prediction :).
This blog definately required some thought. Some of these graze by me unnoticed (save for AI) :P.
Regardless of the fact, TOR still going to be called "WoW in space w/ voice acting" despite the fact that practically everyone who's played the beta has said it's different.
You deserve a medal.
It's just Awards Show's opinion. Why should it matter which one falls through the cracks when there's only 5 nominees chosen?
