It's funny to think that this is the only review to be counted under the main Uncharted 3 section. First review is under the catalog "Uncharted 3", while the last review (before this one) is under "Uncharted 3: Drake Deception" (< missing the 's after Drake if you can't find the mistake).
Probably the truest statement about 3's campaign. Only time things got hectic was when it was in scripted sections.
I'm surprised that many are in your boat for not liking/hating the singleplayer. Although it felt more confined than 2, I had an absolute blast starting from when you first scale over that wall in the first level.
No gamer should be asking this question when it has just released. Impossible to get over the hiatus 3 days after launch and give a honest opinion on it.
I beg to disagree with Call of Duty 3 being a bad game. Quite frankly, I find it Treyarch's best CoD game since they weren't hand-fed what ideas they should have for campaign and multiplayer. Being the only class-based Call of Duty mp still adds incentive for a few people to come back again and again to the "War" + CTF game modes. I'd also argue that CoD 3's DLC support is better than every other Call of Duty after it (although I can't discount MW3 since we ha...
Metacritic recognizes that movie critics are much harsher with their reviews than game critics. Since certain movie critics follow the classic 4 star's format, one 1/2 star equals roughly twelve points out of one hundred, which means no 90's given.
Why are varying opinions now portrayed as 'reviewer inconsistency' when it comes to Uncharted 3? We've seen this for centuries in regards to books and movies. Citizen Kane lost to a forgettable musical-in today's age-at the Oscars, some of Dickens' most viewed novels in today's age were smudged by certain critics back then, the list goes on and on.
Having said that, thehitman's point rings true because it's going after the CONTEXT of the re...
I'm sure the movie's metascore will hold up quite nicely with Ebert's review score :P.
Standing on the razor's edge...;)
Only Dark Souls and Gears 3 have the highest scores on Gamespot this year (9.5). It will win multiple GOTY's from various sites. Another RPG to mention, judging by its score, is Xenoblade; it's unfortunate to only have an EU release though.
Thank you for taking your taking your time to edit that. Good work on the list, if I may add.
As expected, there's going to be hypocrisy against Skyward Sword for being a "dinosaur", yet turning a blind eye to the CoD games by host. I enjoy both series (Zelda and COD) equally for their respected genres, but can't the host recognize that the reason both series have stayed the same for such a long time is because they're the best at what they do, and the sales speak that loudly for both franchises.
Gamers DO have reasons to gripe for the LoZ ser...
He should've just labeled it "From Software's 'Souls' series" rather than "Demon's Souls series". You can't call Dark Souls a sequel when it introduces a different universe (although similar).
I honestly say we should wait for Star Wars: TOR to be released; however, I'm a huge Star Wars fan so that be just me.
^I can agree with that as well. My first reply wasn't meant as a defense of Fox News, it was a defense of half-truths. Sure Fox is really just a microphone for the Republican party 90% of the time (when talking politics); however, why do bs commercials from MSNBC rarely get smudged?
Example:
You have a 15-30 second monologue of Rachel Maddow in front of the Hoover Dam saying "These projects can't be done without gov't", when in act...
That just makes all other news channels rich people who tell dumb people what "progress" is.
Edit: From what I've seen
I can see some gamers thinking that way since OoT is going on 13 years. Imo:
Majora's Mask: Not a 10 but close
Windwaker: 8.5
Twilight Princess: Low 9's
Bear in mind he said 3D LoZ's.
So far, yes.
"When you score one game higher than another, yet the lower-scored game is obviously a better game..."
The only thing that's obvious is this reviewer's subjective tastes don't follow the norm on metacritic. It's fine to question bias IF the context of his/her review comes into question; it's childish to question them on the sole basis of saying "you gave X game a higher score than Y game". I don't even want to dive into the fact...
